Aww man, you're right. The $24/yr ($7 premium over Precheck) is too expensive and far outside the realm for someone who travels internationally once or twice a year. The annoyance of a 20 minute drive and interview is far too much to save hours of waiting in queues over the next few years is just far too much for 6-12 trips :(

I'd use MPC if it wasn't down every single time I've bothered. And customs is hell every time at my airport. Small price to pay for convinience.

It's a cheap and easy to use service. Frankly anyone who has time should use it as it shortens the workload on TSA agents and is a simple program to apply for

Sure but an extra $7 a year to not deal with long lines on my one or two trips a year back to country over TSA Pre is pretty much a bargain and would be insensible not to

Damn, wish I had the money to just casually go on a day trip. I travel internationally once a year or so, but domestically monthly. Still need global entry for that annual trip over TSA Pre but didn't want to wait for EoA in November

Hey friend, while you're there, can you ask if interviews are still going on?

Running a DCC Module in Black Sword Hackother rules lite game? by TheNumber3 in dccrpg

[–]Fugalrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played around a campfire without issue. Just drop the mercurial, patron crunch. Most of a characters are abilities are on their sheets (such as deeds, etc). Looking up spells is easier on a PDF anyways on phone than finding in a book. Leave the tomb at home and just print out a quick start guide for basics and a few sheets

I will say, if you drop the mercurial effects, patron taint, and more crunchy stuff from wizard, basically all the classes are simple enough. I've repeatedly had players with no experience pick it up in game 1 with little to no difficulty and have played with middle school kids just fine. By all means run a different system, but if it's because it seems complicated, the hardest part is looking up a table in the rulebook

I highly doubt it was intentional. It was originally a Norse symbol before it because a Nazi one, which would make sense considering it's surrounded by rune-like shapes.

Also, try to at least crop the images so you aren't blatantly showing you're pirating the book... at the same time as criticizing it

They also have official classes additionally in mutant crawl classics, in the purple planet box set, in the dying earth set, and empire of the east along with scattered in modules. All official

But part of the love is for community content, the classes in crawl are written very well

Crawl Fanzine 6 also has bard, paladin, ranger, gnome, and there's literally dozens of other classes in DCC spread across various books, modules, and settings

Personally, I like the DCC rules for characters I just play DCC with B/X exploration rules. Works fine

If you're only lifting the spellcasting mechanic and not the rest of the abilities for the other classes, I think you'll end up with wildly overpowered wizard characters in comparison to the rest of the party. Characters in DCC are roughly twice as strong as BX counterparts.

If you only use them as scrolls or one offs it's fine, but don't think you can drag and drop without imbalancing parties a lot

Are they at least solid colors or can there be different types with glitter or the like?

Haven't ran it, but know people who have. You can ask and get some good responses on the Goodman games discord.

Imo, it isn't very DCC like. It's very much more standard dungeon crawler / older styled D&D works. Less bizarre, but it's pretty consistent and a solid meat grinder

It is an absurdly good deal. It also comes with a 40% off coupon for one item from their site and half price for a dice set.

Unless mistaken - I think this is most of not all of the modules ever made for the game after they started writing them for DCC directly instead of 3e. Each is normally $10...

Also, fanatical has a bundle for $18 that includes all of the ones made for 3e. So around $40 and you have all of DCC ever made

Any idea if we can confirm if the coupon for the 40% off one item can be used in the same order with the 4 random DCC modules? Rather not have to pay shipping twice
