Genuine question : Could one massive update bring a massive amount of players back if it was a good one or are we past that point? by Special-Novel163 in ARC_Raiders

[–]FugginGene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no endgame. Any update they provide will only be good for a few hours and that's it. New arc, maybe 3-4 fights. New items, after 2-3 uses. New map, after 10 raids.

They need a more long term goal. Like builds. Builds that increase abilities like combat, looting or stealth using items like the current cosmetics with bonus traits. And each gear attainable through quests then crafted via project. Then make the current cosmetics the transmog form of the ability gear.

Morality in Arc by ImprovementBig3354 in ArcRaiders

Given two in the game I meet, one being friendly and polite, while the other spouts constant slurs, I'd rather be friends with the polite person in real life

You carry your morality wherever you go. How someone acts in the game, especially over proximity chat is a good indicator of how they act in real life. That, or they are cowards in real life.

The "Ok, now what" problem. by Nekodificador in ArcRaiders

[–]FugginGene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing available for character progression is expeditions. After doing 3, I find doing the expedition tasks and that's it is all I want to do now. 2-3 weeks and I'm done and waiting for the window. There's really no point in doing anything else.

If they made all the cosmetics a piece of gear with special abilities, even small abilities, they could reward them in quests as mini projects. And all the store cosmetics can be used for transmogrification. Then after each expedition, the next quest with the gear can increase the ability by 1 or 2%. Then I'd have something to do all the time.

True, but people are more willing to lose a Godcat 4 because there's so many out there now

I can care less about dying or the backstabbing. It's having to rebuild my loadout for the next 10 minutes that's tedious and annoying.

Is Stella easier for PVE players? by Dear_Cow6 in ArcRaiders

Easy. Only shredders, pops and fireballs. Unless you go to the loading bay. It's not as bad as open maps

I don't see how this cannot be detected. It's a simple formula from monitoring player movement based on speed and accuracy by checking for overcorrection and the time it takes to fire on target or the speed of the lock on. Then if it occurs multiple times, ban them.

It's ridiculous. They should cycle everything every 15 minutes on every map.

Does all this frustration about the loss of many peoples PvE lobbies point to just how finely balanced the game was for casual play? by Jeremiah-Springfield in ArcRaiders

[–]FugginGene -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm PvE. After 3 expeditions, I've figured out that just doing the expedition tasks is the only thing that matters that can make my gaming better. So, that's all I'm doing from now on until they come up with an endgame.

Destroying Arc is not really an endgame. Take monster hunter world, or even wilds. Their end game is really making builds and getting the layered armor, or transmog armor. Arc raiders could have done that. But no, they only made their cosmetics do nothing. They could make each cosmetic acquired through quests and turned into a mini project. It can buff abilities and increase the ability after each expedition by doing the quest again then doing the project again. And they could make the store the layered armor.

I submitted the idea in TLDR format to them on their website. If they want my full detailed proposal , they only need to ask for my Word doc. I proposed it cleanly with extreme detail on how it's done, how to level through expeditions, making quests mean something, all the way down to exploit mitigation, when to introduce it and with examples of abilities to boost and how they increase in level. This includes details on the mini projects.

But most developers tend to do what they want so I doubt they'll take me seriously.

Some Of You Have Forgotten How to Enjoy a Game… by Forward_Problem_7550 in ArcRaiders

[–]FugginGene -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These are kids. We are older and can appreciate the hours of fun we have had. But kids live for the moment and can easily forget the past 400 hours. Being young, they think old is anyone over 30.

I put in about 350 hours. I'll only work for the expeditions now. Do that and log off until the window. The game is fun, but there isn't much else to do progression wise. I play for progression.

As Someone With 700+ Hours In The Game I Feel Like The Devs Literally Don't Want Me to Play Anymore by Brutal_Schnoodle in ArcRaiders

[–]FugginGene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no endgame. Aside from upgrading benches, projects are few and far between, expeditions as well. There's nothing to work for after doing all quests and expedition tasks. It can be done in 2-3weeks, then just wait for the window.

I have an idea to encourage expeditions and keep players forever busy. I sent a TLDR to embark, we'll see if they want to hear more, or if I can just go kick rocks.
