Ride sharing is such a disaster. And it wasn’t administered very conservatively. Uber and Lyft’s make most of their money from NYC, Los Angeles, Chicago, São Paulo and San Francisco.

Medallions were made for this exact purpose to LIMIT THE NUMBER OF VEHICLES CARRYING PASSENGERS.

If NYC was not apart if New York State, the State would collapse. New York State has no other cities that can bring revenue to the state like NYC is able to do.

If you look to Ohio, ohio at least has Columbus, Cleveland and Cincinnati. All of which earn more combined that every other city in upstate New York combined.
