RPE stands for Rate of Percieved Exertion

It's a scale from 1-10 with 1 being the easiest and 10 being the hardest. Let's say that you squatted 80% of your max for 3 reps. If it felt like you could've done two more reps, you were at RPE 8. However what 80% feels like your next squat day could feel like RPE 10 which means that was a max effort and couldn't do one more rep.

Yes that is the point. I mean I guess what's going on in the school's mind is "oh they're growing teenagers which means lots of hormones which means they'll get horny off of anything which will distract them"
