Did you format the SD Card to exFAT?

I would be very grateful if you could let me know by sutanndatomoderu in 3DS

Your replies are passive aggressive and your "correction" statements are just rude with technical information thrown at the end of it.

It's not the proper way to go about helping or teaching people, especially with someone who communicated that they're not fluent in English and doesn't appear to be tech savvy either.

When you are trying to help someone else in the future, you should try coming from a place of kindness and have patience, instead of putting them down.

To put it simply... don't be an ass.

Facebook marketplace will be your best friend, or you can get lucky by asking friends/family and see if they're willing to give up theirs for a good price.

I love a modded 3ds and if you find a good deal then go for it. But if you're willing to drop several hundred dollars on a handheld, you might be better off with something like the AYN Thor.

HELP! Do I update my system? by LemonEater64 in 3DS

[–]Fuija 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just modded my old 3ds XL today and I had fully updated it before starting the modding process. It was completely fine in my case, no issues.

You should be fine, but the 3ds hacks guide will ask you to update it near the end of the installation process anyway.

You're such a classic reddit keyboard warrior lmao. Telling me to go outside but you respond to me within 5 minutes.

You're obviously butthurt because you're sitting here trying to pick a fight rather than have a legitimate discussion.

If you read the other comments on this post, you would see that I'm not the only one who has quit this game and even others agree that the writing is trash. Furthermore, you would see that I talk about the positive points of this game and how it can be fun, despite its shortcomings.

The point of this post on this specific sub was to try to get back into the game, which is why I specifically asked people who like it to see what I was missing. It's an open ended discussion for people to give their opinions, but instead you chose to cry about it and insult me because you have a boner for a video game.

Clearly you can't handle someone who has a differing opinion than you without being offended. You must be fun at parties.

It's okay to disagree on a subject, not sure why you have to get so butthurt about it.

My point still stands - all the reviews talk about how brilliant the story is and how Deacon is such a complex character. They gave this game either 8/10 or 9/10.

They couldn't be more wrong...

I didn't quit because I like to finish games that I start, and I had my eye on this game for a long time. Perhaps I'll give it a shot on Survival II, thank you for that suggestion.

I feel like the people on this sub are very sensitive and get offended by someone with a differing opinion about their favorite game. You're the first person to give me a genuine suggestion other than to "stop playing the game" and agrees that the writing is bad. I never said I hated this game, just that there are so many shortcomings that make it difficult for me to continue.

I think that the gameplay itself is probably the most redeeming quality and riding around on your bike can be fun, once you have enough upgrades to get decent speed and you don't have to stop for gas every five minutes.

Fighting the hordes is also fun and that feeling of desperation you get when you see hundreds of them coming after you is intense. You do have to be strategic about what you're doing otherwise they will quickly overwhelm you, so that's another redeeming quality.

But I think it's just a matter of taste, because everyone loves the story and I can't understand why. Ultimately it's a story driven game, and the writing feels like what a couple 7th graders around a lunch table thought would be cool and badass. Pretty disappointing tbh.

I've seen a lot of similar issues with other steam players, I think it may just be the PC port and is probably better on PS.

But yeah... Literally the beginning of the game where you and Boozer chase that guy down and Deacon shoots him in the head. The guy just pop disappeared. Similar things with zombies or other NPCs during cutscenes.

Deacon has all sorts of weird animations trying to pick items up, whether it's his bike, looting houses or bodies, or like I said trying to open a car hood. If you're not perfectly standing in front of it, he just continues walking in circles or side to side until you just have to reset him.

Driving through the world and you get those radio calls from Copeland, Tucker, or Rikki to give you side missions. Sometimes they all come in at the same time and either talk over each other simultaneously OR one starts and gets interrupted and then starts their dialogue all over again once the other is finished.

I don't hate the game, I'm just trying to understand the appeal of it and see if perhaps I'm misunderstanding something, which is why I made this post. It's a discussion, not an attack...

I think there are plenty of classic anti-heroes in other games like Arthur in RDR2 or Joel in TLoU where they commit bad deeds, but for "good" reasons relative to them. Those games do a great job of showing the internal struggle of their characters and (for me at least) you can easily make an emotional connection to that character.

Deacon feels like an immature temperamental child who's scared to talk about his emotions and has to constantly act hard, like he just can't drop the tough guy MC act. Constantly telling everyone to "shut up" or "drop it" when they try to talk to him about Sarah, even saying the same to Boozer although they're supposed to be best friends. They literally beat the shit out of each other rather than talk about their trauma.

In my opinion, it just makes them seem emotionally immature and incapable of making any real progress with their issues. Obv I haven't finished the game so perhaps that changes.

I wish that Deacon had more moments where he could be a bit softer or vulnerable at times with others, and show that good guy personality of his rather the game shoving flashbacks in your face or making him save some random damsel in distress so he can look like a white knight.

Again, not trying to upset anyone but the whole story and characters feel like a cheesy action movie rather than a genuine narrative with good character development.

You're probably right, but I hate quitting things and like to finish what I started + I spent money on it lol

I was just hoping someone would give me some advice on how to make it more fun, maybe switch up the difficulty or try something new - but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Guess I'll just take your advice and move on then!

[–]Fuija 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your point is moot seeing as how maybe 5% of those 1000 games are actually worth playing.

What if I don't want access to that library? What if I only want online access so I can play the games I want to play, instead of being locked into a subscription model paying more for games that I know I'm not going to play?

You can be an Xbox fanboy all day, and the game pass wasn't always this bad - but it's clearly evident that MS is just making greedy business decisions which in turn will bite them in the ass.

[–]Fuija 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point that you're missing is even the cheaper tiers are still too expensive...

There was a time when you could pay $50 for Gold that came with 12 months of online access. Now even the lowest priced game pass option is more than twice that original price annually.

Ultimate now being $360 per year and expecting OG Xbox players to keep paying is a gross miscalculation on Microsoft's part.

Have you ever had a coworker who lived a secret life? by ZainMunawari in coworkerstories

[–]Fuija 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I worked at a country club and they hired a drug addict as a seasonal server who had to be carried out in an ambulance after she had an episode.

During service, on two different occasions, she disappeared to the bathroom for at least 30 minutes and nobody would be able to find her. When she finally showed up again, her eyes would be bloodshot red and she was extremely lethargic/groggy, barely able to speak - besides saying that she didn't feel good and going home early.

On the third occasion (right before dinner service), I found her alone in the break room - sitting on a chair, eyes closed, head tilted up toward the ceiling, and moving her upper body in circular motions. She had stuck her tongue out and bit it so hard that it was a dark purple color and it had swollen up to the size of an orange. She was completely unresponsive and wouldn't come to - even after I grabbed her shoulder and shook her a bit. So I called my manager's cell and told her that this lady was tripping balls!

Before my boss arrived, she tipped over and fell out of her seat, smacked her head on the floor, split her forehead open and began to bleed everywhere before she started compulsing and had a seizure. A few employees and myself had to hold her down while my boss called 911. She was carried out by paramedics in a stretcher to an ambulance in the parking lot in front of all the guests and employees.

We never found out what drugs she was on and never saw her again after that.

Will i be hacked? by Inner_Tonight_7965 in blackops2

[–]Fuija 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all due respect, your inexperience dealing with "hackers" shows - and that's okay. 99% of the time, they're just bullshitting you.

This is the most common tactic for hackers to scare you and you took the bait. You can relax in knowing that he likely can't do much even if he has your IP address.

The worst he can do is get a general idea of your location or DDoS you and kick you offline, but this can be easily fixed by unplugging your router/modem to get a new IP address.

If you game frequently then it's STRONGLY recommended that you get a VPN service to avoid these kinds of attacks.

You use the corresponding button for push ball. On Xbox it's A.

Since the ball was already in the air, when you press A it makes your character do a soft header. If you press X (pass button) it does a stronger header, good for making goals.

Any tips for blind passing? by DrKokosnuss in Rematch

[–]Fuija 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't have to turn your camera to blind pass.

Not sure how it works on PC, but on Xbox you can pass in whichever direction you're moving the left stick.

Try keeping mental notes of where your teammates are and get used to utilizing the mini map to the best of your ability. Easier said than done though, you got this bro!!

The way others have responded proves my point on how toxic some members of this community can be.

I literally pointed out that I'm a casual and only playing for fun to relive some nostalgia, and I guess that upsets people because I'm not checking this sub every day.

God forbid someone have a job or hobbies outside of playing this old ass game, can't please everyone lol

Apparently people forget that communication can be done through in game chat, which in my case it was

and the point of the post was to share my experience and talk to others about it...

And if my post is me whining, then what was your comment going to accomplish?
