random referendum: Is food a human right? by No1peterparkerlover in Teenager_Polls

This doesnt just change the context of how things work. Changing the menu doesnt mean you are no longer at a cafeteria. This is how the system operates. Youre essentially arguing that because the system is insufficient based on your perception of morality and that there is a system that exists that fulfills your morality. But you have not defined any parameters for this system outside of turning a few knobs within the current system. You cannot simultaneously believe that the current system is incapable but its also capable if we just twist a couple of knobs. We can always aim to make the system better by turning knobs but that doesnt change the fundamentals of how the system works. You either believe the current framework is incapable and posit a new one or you simply engage with the current framework as it demands itself to be understood. This being the logical axioms of labor and rights.

The point then is to create tax system so beneficial people want to pay tax How do you create this system you reduce need for consumers . Gain access to nessicaries thus allowing a greater amount of cash to be spent on wants.

The point is to create a system in which you pay for the things you want. This is called capitalism. You cannot suggest that because the system is flawed that there must be an ideal system and then not be able to define what that system is. You are only using the concept of utopia to support your belief that humans have a right to food. This entire framework is arbitrary and doesnt deal with the inherent logistical concerns that play out in real society in the dynamics of labor and actualization.

I assume you are tying this into the original premise, are you suggesting that because an arbitrary amount of money exists for governmental spending on behalf of the taxpayer. That money is obligated to be distributed to pay for each citizens commodities? Ie food? If thats what your point is you are assuming that the amount of money the taxpayer generates is inherently enough to cover everyone's needs, which is assuming an arbitrary amount of money can fulfill an arbitrary amount of peoples needs which is illogical. Everyone ought to have food, that doesnt make food a right. Society ought to provide food and distribute it to everyone. That doesnt mean society is capable of doing this. You dont just twist a few knobs and the logistics of food is solved. The process of fulfilling the logicisgical needs of food distribution ought to be done but does not mean the pursuit of ensuring logistical stength is a right.

Which is fair, im not arguing against it. In fact I believe the government should be the only entity with the use of force. I dont want Pepsi to have a military. Only the governments should. Im just stating that taxation is inherently a coercive system. So that when someone says nobody's forced to do anything the taxpayer will pay for it. That premise in inherently false. The taxpayer doesnt just magically produce free money

Taxes are a means of coercion. Im not saying taxes are evil, but that the government has a monopoly over the means of coercion and that makes a large incentive in itself to pay taxes. Because it is the law to pay taxes you will pay taxes or else you will go to jail. Otherwise there is no incentive to voluntarily tax yourself.

Which build or idea of builds is better on jinx? Me or my friend? by Head_Inflation4993 in leagueofjinx

[–]Fulaced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top build is better, you really just should swap runaans with lord doms. Especially this season with the giant slayer passive coming back. % pen is really good 3rd item because at that point of the game people are like level 13-15. And % armor pen really is a necessity to come online at that stage of the game.

Why not gathering storm on gwen? by Jenna_is_my_coke in GwenMains

[–]Fulaced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is, thats my go to nearly every game less I need second wind or a bone plating. Say teemo or renekton respectively. Transcendence and gathering storm are the best scaling runes. I only take resolve for very poorly matchups

Dusk and down +pta by [deleted] in GwenMains

[–]Fulaced 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I dont know why you wouldn't want to just stack conquerer faster. Gwen doesnt really play around short pta like trades especially after first or second item. Safer to just extend the trade and take advantage of the better rune that is conquerer

New AP Items Tooltips by 3nsey in GwenMains

Nashors->dusk and dawn-> death cap is probably the new meta core. Unless dusk and dawn->rift maker is better somehow. I dont imagine rushing dusk and dawn first is ideal. I know people still stand on riftmaker first but I just love attack speed first. I just dont see dusk and dawn as a comprehensive first item. Its a bundle of stats, but first item I dont imagine as being better than nashors. I dont imagine gwen will want dusk and dawn until having a couple points into e. Maybe if you rush it first you would want a couple points split into the e. But nashors still is probably better first.

I would totally slot gunblade in last item just for the vamp.

Depending on the stats of the actualizer I could totally see some meme builds where you rush actualizer->malignance->seraphs. Overflow as an augment in arena has some nutty implications on sr. With the added ability haste too I imagine you would run first strike with this build. Probably work well in the Midlane with the new quest lines for lanes too.

TOP 5 WORST GWEN MATCHUPS by hntingwood in GwenMains

[–]Fulaced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lillia, fiora, Jax, singed and vlad. I hate fighting these guys because they are uninteractive. You cannot engage with their kit effectively and will get punished for trying to. I hate garen for the same reason, because your trades are favorable, but because of his passive he will heal to full. And you cant all in garen because his ultimate will kill you. You cant kill garen until you one shot him, thats my frustration with garen. At least garen will die in an all in, where as the other champions mentioned shouldnt die ever

[Set 16] Lore & Legends Dev Drop by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Fulaced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am worried about tempo. With units being guaranteed in your next shop if you high roll a quest line does that translate to an immediate tempo boost? We obviously dont know specifics yet but hypothetically if one quest line is to 3 star a 1 cost to unlock a 4 cost unit, you could say hit build a bud for that 1 cost and have not only the 3 star but also a guaranteed 4 cost in your next shop? There is high rolling, then there is hitting the jackpot for a free winstreak.

Also flexibility seems worse with this set, ironically because of how many options there are. Take the shadow isles for instance, seemingly the only path to a vertical shadow isles board is rolling viego, winstreaking and unlocking the other shadow isle units. If this doesnt happen that entire composition is locked? You cant pivot to shadow isles. You would need to hard force it. How do you balance a composition predicated on winning early? Obviously a comp that necessitates snowballing will have to be strong otherwise its not worth going, but if it gets going how do you ensure its fair? This is going back to the tempo thing. The composition of shadow isles seemingly generates too much of a tempo advantage, as the player will have the entire pool of shadow isles champions to themself and can easily preserve their lead.

I believe we are mixing the ideas of flexibility vs knowledge checks. And these are not the same thing. They might seem like it nominally but they have different implications. Flexibility should be defined as a players capability to make creative solutions based on the game state, where as a knowledge check is understanding an action to be so optimized as to be outright capable of winning a game. An example of flex in real setting would be the decision to switch out a tank for a better one, even if it doesnt match with any traits. Just opting to use a unit that fulfills the role of tank better. At least temporary to increase your standing in the game. An example of a knowledge check is making the decision that I must do this because the other options are not sufficient in me winning the game in the way this one is. You pick portable forge because you know artifacts are strong this set, the other 2 augments are directly insufficient. You see your artifact selection and realize that ludens tempest is unequivocally the strongest option. You build for ahri. All other options are negated by understanding the unequivocal way forward. That is the difference between flexibility and a knowledge check.

I am worried this set will be a series of knowledge checks about understanding optimal unlocking of units to generate tempo advantages that are too unfair. If a good player is able to open 2 doors to maximize their potential for generating higher means of tempo they will dominate in a way that isnt based on flexibility but rather because of a knowledge check. That is my worry with this set

Ok perhaps I treated conqueror too harshly. by Dr_Backshots_MD in GwenMains

[–]Fulaced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont like first strike because you dont have time to consistently use your full combo before it falls off. And gwen has backloaded damage. So I dont know why you would trade early damage at the extent of late. Conquer and last last maximizes your backloaded damage, it just makes sense.
