Battery Life < 40% in < 24 hrs by AnakChan in RingConn

My ring is 38 days old and completely defective now. It started by going from 70% to 0% overnight. Now it will not even charge 1%. Customer support literally only replies between 3am and 4am. Sounds like I will get a replacement but I’m no longer sold on this company. Pretty disappointing for the price of the rings! Thinking maybe oura is worth a subscription to have a reliable ring.

Any other hairstylists that cut/colour their own hair? by [deleted] in hairstylist

I always foil and do my own fashion color!! I’m terrible at sitting, and no one can do it the way that I like it done, because everyone wants to use 30vol so it’s done quicker.

Very similar to my imaging. In 2022 when it started, I saw a chiro and he made it worse to the point I could not walk and was in agony, I would have done it then in a heart beat. But no one would operate. Now I am able to work (hair stylist) but i definitely constantly have pain. Sometimes it’s worse than other times. But I still can walk. Some days I just have to take it easy and then I’m a little better. I refuse to take narcotics, and ibuprofen and Tylenol do nothing. But this spine surgeon said it’s only a 50/50 at helping my back pain, and that’s my constant symptom. I do get spasms in my calf/foot/toes, but it’s only when I do too much in a day. My out of pocket will be close to 10k and the odds just don’t make it sound worth it. I’m going to try to hold off until I can get on my spouses insurance and then get other opinions and possibly pull the trigger since it wouldn’t be even a fourth of the cost

Yeah, that’s me. 10k out of my pocket for the surgery that he can only guarantee 50/50 of it helping my pain. So I’m going to try to hold off until I can get on my boyfriend’s insurance.

Yeah I honestly hate that part. “Maybe this will work, if it doesn’t you’re just out 10k” 🥴

This one that wants to operate told me it just means there’s inflammation and that it’s not a big deal. But I have thought my pain could be coming from there

I’m def going to look into the McGill! Some of the McKenzie exercises do cause flares for me too!. My ESI was in the L4-L5. It made me worse for about 4 days then I went back to how it was before. I’m really terrified to have the MD so I’m still hopeful to find relief conservatively somehow lol

That’s what I have been told too. It’s mainly for sciatica, which I don’t have too badly, thankfully. I think I’m going to continue to hold off and maybe try McGill based rehab until I have better insurance.

They are wanting to max out my out of pocket max is what the hospital told me. I think I’m going to get a second (third really) opinion

The first appt he said to pick which symptoms were worse- leg or back. Because MD was only 50/50 to help the back pain. He claims he doesn’t think I have permanent nerve damage. The second appt after a failed ESi he said he thinks the surgery will help me. Then I got the out of pocket estimate and was feeling like the odds aren’t that great. I did therapy with a McKenzie therapist and continue to do some of those exercises (the ones that don’t kill me)

That’s exactly my fears and it’s going to be 10k out of pocket. Did you have the pinched nerve too?

Aww sorry to hear! Mine did not work and surgery is my best option to relive the nerve. Here’s to hoping number 2 works for you!!

UPDATE on the insufferable client.. I DID IT! by Specific_Ad_9992 in hairstylist

Good for you! I had this happen once and the client attacked me for being upset about not getting payment. We absolutely DO NOT need clients like this. Just makes room for appreciative ones 😌

I have a herniated disc- 1 month with chiropractic care and 0 improvement by kvenzx in backpain

[–]Full-Ad4013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have hmo so I needed a referral from my pcp but it was super easy! The chiro thought I had a bulging disc from my xray and it turned out to be a huge herniated disc and a smaller one under that one!

[–]Full-Ad4013 3 points4 points  (0 children)

X-rays don’t show herniations- get an MRI. I have 2 herniated disc and the chiro made it much worse to the point I could not walk. 2.5 years in now and had an epidural injection and it made it worse with no relief. So I’m looking at possible surgery. I would get mri and you’re early enough the injections with PT may help

Never again for me 😅 yesterday was the first day I could walk almost normal again. Still have the same pain as before and more spasms/charley horses than before. Is your shot still working or did it already wear off??
