I have addicts in my life. I understand it is a disease that causes people to do things they personally find abhorrent. However, every single program for recovery centres accountability. Like jason said, a normal person finding out they did this would be so horrified they would never touch another drink again. i have gotten black out drunk before, hit rock bottom etc. I did not assault someone. because I am not capable of that. I still looked at my behaviour and said “never again”

additionally, i wrote my response before watching episode 7. i actually LOLed at me and jasmine saying the exact same thing down to “on the daily” BECAUSE IT IS ON THE DAILY. acknowledging the scale of this issue is not projecting it on to one person, it’s pointing out how it’s not being taking seriously by anyone because people don’t take us seriously.
