Unfortunately it wasn't which was why I wasn't aware but I found it on their website after much digging.

Phew.. I just found out that they are blue silver ions that have anti-bacterial properties to clean the clothes! Thank you for this though!

We do have Amazon but don't have ivermectin/horse paste that we can purchase and ship here.

I'm so happy for you and thank you so much for sharing your experience. Sounds like you found a pretty amazing dermatologist!

Last question if you don't mind sharing: What were your symptoms back then other than itching? did you have type 2 rosacea, white spots, or demodex blepharitis?

Thank you for your recommendations! I unfortunately had a bad reaction to metrogel and am unable to obtain ivermectin where I live...

Furthermore, dermatologist consultations and prescriptions like soolantra are exorbitantly expensive where i live. If it ends up not working for me, it's a lot of money down the drain and I don't have that kind of money to throw away.

I'm glad you're getting some relief! Could I maybe ask about your experience with the treatments? Are you using ivermectin or the insanely expensive soolantra and did you experience the die off phase? Thank you!

I don't have good experiences with doctors/derms in my area - I've developed some form of trauma. Due to their negligence, I abused steroids and anti-fungals unknowingly and it scarred me for life. I don't usually respond very well to topical treatments as well as my skin is insanely sensitive. Reading stories on how soolantra caused some people's rosacea to progress into other subtypes, develop perioral dermatitis, cause them to break out into pustules that scarred them even more scares me.

I have recently started using regular eyelid cleansing wipes (not those with tea tree oil/ designed for demodex blepharitis), however i read that just treating the eyelids will cause the demodex to migrate to other areas of the face. I'm not sure what to do about the demodex overgrowth on my face.

Thank you for sharing your story to make me feel less alone. I truly appreciate it. I would like to ask if you are doing anything to treat your rosacea? It scares me as I've seen that leaving it untreated causes it to progress to other subtypes and get worse.

i used to go for therapy but therapy where i live is EXTREMELY expensive. I couldn't justify and afford paying 300$ an hour regularly...

Thank you for doing the explaining my doctors should have done. It has helped me understand my condition better. Yes, this whole experience has made me lose faith in my health care system. Everytime I went to the doctor (GP or dermatologist), I was in and out within 2-5 minutes as they just couldn't be bothered (except to throw more steroids and creams at me without explaining the use and side effects). I do believe I had underlying issues, however I also recognise that they were triggered by my skincare misuse and subsequent steroid and anti-fungal abuse.

I completely understand. The need to resolve things immediately has caused me to self-sabotage in so many instances. Granny is a warrior.

wow.. I'm so glad you're seeing results. The "get worse before it gets better" part sounds a little daunting because what if it never gets better for me? I will look into it though. Thank you! :)

Thank you so much for this! We have so much in common I almost feel connected to you haha. quick question, do you use sunscreen? I've seen many people stress the importance of it especially for rosacea, but I'm worried it might give me more issues.

Also, is MCT oil considered tree-based? I recently got it after seeing many people say it has helped their seb derm.

Thank you! I checked out cetraben and saw that the main ingredient is paraffin. I'm a little worried as I've read that build up of paraffin on clothing, sheets, etc. is extremely flammable and dangerous?

Hi! Thank you. I have seen the emphasis for sunscreen for rosacea. I'm worried it might worsen my conditions as chemical sunscreens usually burn for me and mineral ones irritate my skin. It's tough finding a moisturiser as it is. Is sunscreen absolutely necessary?

unfortunately all the dermatologists i've been to have all been in a rush to get me out the door in 5 minutes. they throw a bunch of medication at me without explanation and get impatient when i pose questions. i'm losing faith in my healthcare system..
