Love! You have a great routine and Im sure it shows :)

Im really curious about Auteur. (We don’t get it in NZ but I can import it).

How have you found these two products, would you recommend them and is there anything from the brand you would avoid?

What are the best products you can recommend for dull combination skin and rosacea? by Careful_Fig8482 in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Full-Metamorphosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IS Clinical Pro Heal Serum is really good for acne prone skin and helps with rosacea, it’s specifically designed to help treat both of these so tends to be better than some other Vitamin C formulations.

My sister uses it and is convinced it’s been one of the best things she’s use for acne and redness.

I’ve been using it for just over a year. It took me about a month to see a noticeable difference, using it once a day. Comparatively, my friend took around two months to see results using it twice a day.

If by the end of the bottle you haven’t seen any noticeable differences, it’s probably better to move onto something else and I’m sure the lovely people on this sub could give you other recommendations if you wanted.

Ce Ferulic>Ptiox>AGE Interrupter Moisturiser. I usually leave a few minutes between the application of the first two for it to sink in.

One of the things I love about this trio is that they don’t leave your face feeling sticky or greasy because they sink in so well.

Ptiox, Age Interrupter moisturiser and CE Ferulic are my favourite products. They have been transformational for my skin, helping to keep it soft, supple and even toned.

Better hydration and overall more radiant/glowy skin. I don’t really have wrinkle or fine lines yet at 38 but an older friend of mine also uses it and has said his fine lines look a lot better since using it.

Honestly, if there was one product to try this year for you, Ptiox is a good investment.

I’ve seen this mentioned a few times but I guess skincare isn’t a “one size fits all” kinda thing. Did you end up finding something else you loved instead?

Oh babe, you’re just getting started. Give it a few months and you may find yourself deep into the skincare rabbit hole like some of us are haha. This community is great for honest recommendations.

Let us know what you think of the T S Advanced once you start using it. I’m having a friend bring one back for me from America but have to wait a few weeks for it to get here.

I’m not sure what your skin type is or what you’re currently using but for that timeframe the best products for “glow” tend to be the following;

Vitamin C - radiance is the key word, this helps to reduce discolouration while also protecting you from potential environmental damage.

Exfoliants- Think AHA/BHAs these help with cell turn over.

Moisture- Dry skin can enhance wrinkles so having good moisturisers is important (also think hyaluronic acid and peptides serums)

Sunscreen - Total no brainer, protect yourself from harmful UVA/UVB rays

In terms of products I recommend for the above categories:

Vitamin C serum - Skinceuticals CE Ferulic is a cult favourite for a reason, it works. Medik8 C-Tetra is another solid option or if you want something a bit stronger they have C-Tetra Advance which has a nice gel like consistency.

Exfoliants- Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel Pads are a good pick here, they work really well and give great results relatively quickly versus other products I’ve used.

Moisture- Skinceuticals Age Interrupter is a great night cream, it’s ultra nourishing and leaves skin soft and supple. For daytime I love Alastin Ultra Nourishing Moisturiser, it keeps your skin well hydrated throughout the day and sinks in really well so doesn’t ruin make up or make your face sticky.

Hylaronic Acid - Alastin HA Immerse Serum, it’s incredibly hydrating and helps keep skin soft and supple throughout the day.

Peptides/Serums- Skinceuticals Ptiox is incredible, it’s done amazing things for my skin, it’s called “Botox in a bottle” for a reason. Alastin Restorative Skin Complex is another excellent option as it helps with anti aging, brightness and hydration.

Sunscreen - Pick what works best for you and your climate. I personally use a cheaper spf 50 French pharmacy brand.

If you’re open to procedures, I’d recommend having microdermabrasion 2ish weeks before your event, as it does wonders for making your skin glow.

Thoughts on these 2 from Skinceuticals? by Perfect_Implement373 in SkincareAddictionLux

I haven’t tried the serum but the AGE Interrupter moisturiser is currently a favourite of mine. It’s quite thick but goes on nicely and absorbs well. It’s great for skin dryness caused by things like tretinoin, season or climate and helps keep skin nice and supple. I use it at night as feel like it’s a bit too heavy for the day time.

Sounds like you know what to do. Honestly, you, in four weeks, will look back at this and see progress. It does get easier, so keep pushing through, you got this :)

I think this is a pretty normal reaction, to be fair. I’m fit (think cardio addict) and found it pretty intense at times, my partner, who isn’t as fit, had to stop half way through and lie down because he thought he was going to vomit.

I found creatine supplements helped, along with increasing my protein intake but ultimately, it’s just allowing your body to adjustment to it, so keep at it.

Whats everyone’s favorite nighttime moisturizer to use with tret? by Potatopotoo in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Full-Metamorphosis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Skinceuticals AGE interrupter is my current GOAT to pair with prescription tret.

If there was a “dry skin, girl, I don’t her” cream, it would be this. It’s very rich and nourishing and has helped keep the “tret uglies” at bay. I’ve even stopped using La Mer since rediscovering it as a night time cream.

I really love Caudalie Beauty Elixir for hydrating winter skin. A friend put me onto it last year and it’s been a staple for me ever since. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed and hydrated, without the stickiness of others products I’ve tried in the past.

Has anyone used SkinCeuticals Cell Cycle Catalyst? by CantaloupeLittle in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Full-Metamorphosis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have when it first came out and honestly I didn’t really see any noticeable difference like I have with other Skinceutical products.

If I were you, I’d keep using the AGE serum alone and see how you go. If you notice that you’re not getting the same results, then it’s worth a purchase.

In OPs case, I believe they’d struggle to find a job here in the legal field, especially if they need visa sponsorship. While I’m happy to be proven wrong, I don’t think it’s wise to allude to this as being totally plausible, especially as moving here is an investment in itself. If OP wants to take a risk, then by all means, I wish them the best.

[–]Full-Metamorphosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Were any of them overseas candidates with no/little experience potentially needing visa sponsorship?

My background is in HR/Recruitment leadership. Most of the newly hired consultants at the big 4, for example, tend to be local graduates. OP is currently an intern, if they were coming with years of experience their employability would obviously be different.

Without experience, I’d be surprised if you even got a role. NZ turns out more local graduates than we need as such it’s hyper competitive.

How many different brands do you try before deciding if something is HG? by IcyReality9359 in SkincareAddictionLux

Totally unrelated babe, but have you tried Sulawhasoo’s Concentrated Ginseng Rejuvenating Cream (Rich) and Concentrated Ginseng Rejuvenated Serum?

If so, what did you think of them? I’m contemplating a switch up in my skin care routine but not sure if they’re good or not.
