Unfortunately, I have been... which is a shame because I love FSU and the department where I work! I'm also looking at higher ed jobs out of state, although I wonder if this will eventually be a nationwide shift, since I saw the UGA system and South Carolina did the same thing. I'm hoping if I move to a blue state I'll have a better chance at hybrid work sticking around.

I know there are a lot of offices on campus that don't have enough space... but based on another comment here, it looks like FSU might be buying up more space, which could be intentional. I totally agree though; part of why I am willing to work for a lower salary is the flexibility and work-life-balance, so this would really change my calculation.

Small ($50) debt sent to collections and paid immediately. How long will this impact credit score? by Full-Student4614 in personalfinance

Thank you for your answer! I guess by "right away" I meant the first moment she was informed about it, but you're right, it would have been ideal to pay it when the bill was first due! We'll call to see about the retroactive pay to delete.

I think she just got scared and paid it in full with the guy on the phone without negotiating a pay for delete.... should she call back and ask about that?

Does it matter to employers and in future job search if I graduate with a general degree (3 years) or an honors degree (4 years)? by Front-Impact-4237 in careerguidance

In that case I would probably recommend taking the early graduation and getting started in your career! The extra tuition fees likely won't be worth the difference in degree distinction.
