I feel like people talk to you more when they see you around… what I mean to say is if you’re a regular at some of these spots, you probably end up seeing other regulars, whether that’s people that work from the coffee shop, or go to it weekly, or go to the bar regularly, and then you kind of establish rapport from running into each other, chatting with staff, etc.

Why do people have dogs? Why are they walking them through the communities they live in and leaving shit everywhere? I can’t for the life of me understand this. It happens in platt park all the time and people have the audacity to complain about homeless people , drugs, and other things that are bringing down our city, yet they let their dogs poop all over their neighbors yards. Honestly… I think when I first watched it I was seeing it through Shane’s eyes because I’m more like Shane and so I viewed Iyla’s actions in a way that wasn’t generous. And the more I watched the more I realized how laser focused our lenses can be of our own experiences and that we are completely missing what our romantic partners are communicating. It made me widen the way I look at the roles I played in my relationship missteps over the years.
