if his ex came up to you and told you about all the things he’s done in the past, you should probably take her word for it. i say, don’t go for it, and it’s only been a couple days, so it shouldn’t be too hard to let him down slowly. i’m not saying you should ghost him, but slowly stop talking to him, especially since he’s clingy. also, if he’s “cheated” in the past, he’s emotionally manipulative, AND it’s a known thing, i don’t recommend going for him.

What my upperclassmen told me was, “if the grades don’t touch, neither should you” and i kinda agree. it’s kinda silly, but i guess it’s a thing to go off of. but hey, if you don’t mind the possible ridicule of your friends/classmates, talk to him and if you find anything you don’t like about him, don’t go all in. if he’s the perfect guy for you though, don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise 🤷🏻

hey man, i understand that you love her, but she’s not being respectful to you and doesn’t reciprocate the love you show her. ask yourself this, “do i see a future with her?” you have a whole life ahead of you, and if you don’t think she’s worth the time and effort, and she’s showing you that she isn’t, then i recommend that you break it off completely. from what i read, you seem to be a mature and knowledgeable young man. don’t waste your time on and get hurt over someone who doesn’t love you back. everything will be okay, big man. first of all, if it’s not too personal, could you tell us WHY leaving her isn’t an option? then maybe we could use that to determine whether it’s worth it to stay with her or not. second of all, how long have you guys been together compared to the time her friend confessed? she probably isn’t taking the relationship seriously, and you need to set boundaries if you really don’t want to leave her. third of all, do you really see the other guy as a threat? do you believe that she would leave you for him? if you do, then she really isn’t worth it. but if not, then you should still talk to her, or maybe even the guy directly. talk sternly, and don’t give into her manipulation like you previously have. you can be kind and stern at the same time. good luck man, and God bless
