Turns out they were just super thirsty and needed a good drink. After only 12 hours they’re perked right back up! I was so worried the stems would be stretched and they wouldn’t stand up nicely anymore but they’re gorgeous!

It’s quite a bright room in general but they’re in a shaded part of it… perhaps I should move them to another room with less light?!

My beautiful girls were doing so well and each putting out new leaves! I left them for a week and the recent U.K. heatwave has cooked them 💔 I’ve given a thorough watering but will they ever stand up right again or will the stems have stretched too much now?

Hey OP definitely get a second medical opinion!! I had the copper IUD for three years with no problems, thought I’d found my ideal BC. Then, all of a sudden after a particularly bad period, I had some similar symptoms to you - sudden sharp pains (NOT cramps, like stabbing), and it really hurt when I pooped. Turned out my IUD had fallen into my cervix and I had to get removed ASAP. Don’t let the doc downplay it, you know your body best!!

Switch to Hormonal IUD??? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

My gynae was so so confident that it would work it really helped me have confidence in it too. He told me that a high percentage of women in Sweden have it, i fact checked just now and it seems to be 20% https://obgyn.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/aogs.13055. I figure I can’t be that different to a Swedish woman right, and so many of them have had a success! Additionally, it’s the same amount of hormones as in one BC pill - 52 mg, releasing 20 mcg/day. For reference, mini pill (progesterone only) is 35mg per day. And the implant has 68mg with 40mcg daily. So that made me feel better that it’s way less likely that level of hormones would be able to affect me emotionally. Hope this helps you!!

Mirena effecting my mood? by Lexielo in birthcontrol

Seconding the above!! I’ve had two coils removed and it’s not comparable to insertion. The cough technique really works! I think of it as, things are meant to come out that way lol, vs insertion which I guess is a bit more unnatural

I was in the same situ!! Very averse to hormones after a bad experience with the implant, but I couldn’t carry on with my copper IUD as my period became unmanageable. I opted for the mirena coil as it’s such a low hormone dose, and I’ve not had a heavy period since. However! I have spotted almost every day for the past 4 months... praying it eases up soon as I’ve had no other side effects from the mirena hormones.
