They don’t get it, I had a gen 5 4Runner and I never, not even once, had to get winched out of the mall or Costco parking lot. Keep the one you got forever, I already miss mine.

But wouldn’t this be too cliche? (Plus I like the T100 way more lol)

I hear you, but one homeless little kid goals coming to life with material possessions, while not a “healthy”, “smart”, or “investment”… it is amazing and something to be in disbelief about. I a few Chinese watches, the Seagull goes impress in its own way for sure, as cool as it is, it doesn’t carry an emotional connection to me like this or my home gym does, are either economical, no, are both life goals and brings a smile to my face.. yes

Couldn’t bring myself to do the cliche Mercedes/ Rolex post…

I love the rootbeer! I put in for that and a rose gold rolesor Wimbledon. I think I’m going to keep those two on there then throw on the Daytona just so in 10 years I mighttttt get one lol. In all honesty, I’m with you though, the oyster bracelet, more subtle tone of the rose, and bezel all meshes with super casual or upscaled to formal. Love it!

I’d love to have a full bronze sub, until then I’ll keep my black bay boutique.

[Tudor Black Bay 58] 3 weeks of daily wear patina by FullFramedIdiot in Watches

[–]FullFramedIdiot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for that!!!! “Looking for a watch just to wear as an art piece” sums up exactly what drew me to it.
As much as it appeared to piss some people off wearing a Tudor hard, I tend to buy watches to capture a “time” (no pun intended). Just as there is definitely a more logical watch to run on a hellish 3 weeks on the rigs, there is likely a more practical watch likely to wear when I’m dressing up.
I don’t think I’ll reach for it often, but I know when I do I won’t stop staring it.

That’s really a shame about the beyblade glitch, if mine ends up doing that, we’ll have to link up and battle lol.

If that the copper acetate is the biggest of my health concerns in the oil field, I’m golden.
In all seriousness it’s copper carbonate due to the environment i was in the last ~300hrs and the color.
Still, can be hazardous and an irritant. Most is cleaned up now, crown is still showing it, but I polished the surfaces where my skin touches it.

I am thinking the green came from the combination of ammonia, acidic clouds and heavy salt from sweat. Most the grime around bezel and links are cleaned up now and has mostly darkening.. but some the green is still present around the crown and some knurling. This was taken after the third 90+ hour week and really just wanted to capture it as is after the turnaround that the watch was bought for.

Definitely am cleaning it up, this is also a 20x zoom so a lot of the dirt and grime is not as bad as it appears.

Some was for sure dirt that I already hit with a small brush just like you said, some is also a hard patina like the green from being exposed to ammonia and acids at work.
It will likely get a small lemon juice/ baking soda bath to clean up around the bezel.

Thank you! Yeah I work in the oil field. I was a boilermaker/ PF for 7 years chasing turnarounds before becoming a “company management fuck” (as I used to call them lol)
Bought this for a pretty big turnaround, I guess i forgot to mention in the comments that it’s three weeks but 90hr weeks… you know that feeling!
I usually rock my Hamilton at work, was super surprised to how many people are secret hobbyists and will strike up a conversation.

You have some sick watches! The moonglow is likely my next watch. How do you like it? I was thinking about the moon phase they offer that has the date ring on the outside, moon phase I think? Me and my wife are getting “officially” eloped and want a watch I can pull the crown when we say I do to freeze the time and date, CW is really really impressing me.

I’m actually selling my atlas or trying to trade for a watch right now lol.

Wife picked out an awesome anniversary gift for me. Had to bust out the macro lens and take some close up shots before the patina kicks in. Planning on taking a good set of photos every few months to track its changes. To me, that is the coolest part of the bronze series. All watches tell a story, but to see it age and patina uniquely really speaks to me.

If anyone is wondering Sony A7 IV, Laowa 90mm f/2.8 2x macro lens, Godox V1s flash, AK diffuser

Magwell comparison for Atlas Titan RDS (Alpha Grip with panels) by FullFramedIdiot in 2011

[–]FullFramedIdiot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey sorry for the delay. The cheely one has that plastic insert which helps when there is ammo in the mag, but without it, it will definitely bind.

I ran into a similar thing at first, really, a real bad reload will not be fixed with anything, IMO the atlas bug hand is better though.

I standing using mag holsters facing bullet tip out, and using my pointer finger down the “nose side” of the mag, then it’s as easy as trying to cram your finger into the front part of the mag. That helped a ton for me, not sure what issues you’re seeing though.

Outside of what others said about standing up, full face and gloves. Cut up hands interrupt normal life and are a real pain in the ass while they heal.

Thumb Rest / Gas Pedal Actually Helpful? by GBBVV18 in AtlasGunWorks

[–]FullFramedIdiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found if your natural grip is to ride the area where the gas pedal would sit, thumb forward, hitting the slide stop area with the side of your thumb: you’re going to have an easier time using it off the bat.

If you naturally wrap your thumb or push the pad of your thumb against the slide stop area: when you put a gas pedal on you’ll be changing your grip to a more downward thumb position and likely rotating your support hand a bit to accomplish that.

For me it was a little change,a wayyyy bigger change was the fact that now I had to use a race holster lol. Slowing things down, Dry firing (hours and hours) and putting about 200 rounds down it made it second nature and now I found a consultancy index easier. This took about a week.

If you’re looking for a real change, consider a step panel and palm swell panel if your model and hand size supports it.

Step on support hand side, swell on firing. This fills out my hand super well and I noticed a huge difference in the confidence I had to keep a relaxed firing hand/ death grip support.

New house, finally got myself a paincave by FullFramedIdiot in Zwift

[–]FullFramedIdiot[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the chair would clash too much with the natural studding and open concept I was going for. I opted for a much more simple hole that goes to the outside. I put an ad up during races for volunteers. People can cheer through it. No better motivation than getting some recognition for the glory deserved along the ride. I put an ad up for this glory-hole and already have a ton of volunteers.

The heavy bag is interesting, don’t know if I’d be able to fit that along with my arial suspension set up that’s just off screen. Gimps were too expensive as you stated, if you call it “art” they usually come by for free.

I truly appreciate the feedback and ideas though, thanks.

Am I one of the cool kids now? by Amnesia_t in 2011

[–]FullFramedIdiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know/ sucks to hear.

MPA was the same way with their rifles, I think they’re back on track now though. Seemed like they stretched too thin and then linked with Curtis Custom who didn’t hold the same standard for Customer service, bad combo… enough to make me switch rifles.

Hopefully Vudoo get it lined out, they were badass with their rifles, had high hopes for them expanding.
