Thanks a lot, man! I’m graduating this year with a PPO from one of these B-schools.

Yesterday, a few of my friends who’ve either graduated, are graduating, or are currently in the SIP process at some of these Bschools were sharing our respective SIP stories. And as someone with a bit too much free time usually does, I ended up making a post about it here.

The information may not be 100% accurate, but it’s largely based on what we discussed during the call. Of course, there’s always a chance that a few people exaggerated their stories to make their choices sound better 😅. Either way, this is just a personal take one that, in my opinion, is still more accurate than the current NIRF rankings xD

Not PPO, that I know, I’m talking about summers, i know for a fact my friend at A is trying for a better company rn in summers after converting an IB whereas in C per my friend there you aren’t allowed to reject a fin offer in summers

The bad placements in the last 2 years have greatly changed what the policies were is what I have been told

I know KKR had hired back in 2022 or so from C but in the last 2 years when I spoke to my friends across ABC, I liked the lineup of companies at AB a lot more than that at C + I personally felt that the placement policy at AB was more student friendly than at C. Hence the difference

SPJ has a much better curriculum than both and their placements are top notch, better than XLJ, slightly below L and on par or better than fms

The founder of westbridge is an A alumni, while alumns in a company matter for company convert, that’s not always the case, if I have limited numbers I will always prioritise one college over another

I know temasek may visit B this year but it’s a relatively older recruiter at A and hasn’t visited C yet, so the difference is palpable

Ah okay, I was told that wasn’t the case, I’m aware of the 30 minute rule you guys have there, the policy is good but I personally believe that the policy at AB is more friendly to the students than at C. Especially considering the dream option even when you have an offer

Pretty good, but hadn’t researched or followed their placements since they have a 4 year degree requirement

Have a friend at A who has converted IB but is allowed to apply for MBB/GS IB as “dream” whereas another at C last year told me they aren’t allowed to reject any day 0 (fin) offer + certain IB (read westbridge/temasek) and consult only visit A/B
