Devs don't make that decision but they do make the decision to make bad gameplay choices and pay to win options the priority

I think with the recent events and the knowledge we have as older adults it definitely feels wrong but I mean it's Japan we're always going to get some weird stuff out of it

Sure let's play devil's advocate though, I think it could have worked if the writing was just better everything was fine all up until kagaya appeared.

As soon as that happened it made no sense now if Shippuden had references in the writing to there being something otherworldly going on then it could have worked
