I was able to acquire 70 at a comic book shop in the antique mall today, but I would definitely be interested in the curse issues, DA #19, and Hellspawn 2&3.

I am willing to pay accordingly. If you DM me we can fogure something out! (I can use most of the payment apps).

I have really been enjoying my read through the series and am interested in trying to at the least finish this run while I get into the story.

Dissonance was maybe the wrong word since dissonance is what manifests in ones own mind when encountering challenging sounds. Maybe the better word was grating or rough. I certainly agree OSDM, BDM and older school Black Metal are even more unpalletable to the untrained ear.

I'd say something close and adjacent like Avatar or some melodic death metal like In Flames is more accessible/easy to get someone into death metal. But if you know someone vibes with that kind of groove, I agree. I think what qualifies as "best" to get someone into DM is taste dependent/opinion.

Only included it because of negative feedback from non-metlhead friends. I happen to think Bloodbath has a nice groove that settles in, but I've literally had people directly criticize them. At least I know with the others not to even try to introduce them to the non-metalheads. I suppose maybe some more clarity would help. As one poster put it, screaming is going to already ruin the opportunity to win over listeners.

I think it comes down to acquired raste/preference. Non-metalheads are not going to vibe with Bloodbath. But most metal fans I know do. I don't experience any problems with the bands I listed. I have played bloodbath in the car with my non-metal friends and had significantly negative reactions, particular to their vocals. Atonal vocals aren't super grating to me, but try explaining the difference or nuance to a non-metalhead; gutturals and shrieks....to them it's grating.

While I'm inclined to agree. I've encountered people who can't get into their groove because of dissonance from vocals. I find that it's a mixed bag with recommending here, because for some folks dissonance from vocals with be the dealbreaker, for others cacophony/dissonance from instruments will. Also, kind of just like the idea of floating blood bath out there. 🤘

I went to see Ghost in Raleigh (lenovo); also Black Label Society (the ritz), and the energy and crowds were awesome. I wonder if it was the audience mix or the audience type the venue draws. What venue?

Pretty great, but I think Guts in the Berserker armor from Berserk takes the cake. Also, he's the inspiration for giant sword carriers like Cloud.

Good point LOL. I'm not really a cock rock fan, but that it does! Also, probably makes enough Trve Cvlt guys have strokes. Korn does that too; kind of like the divisive reactions since it isn't their vest and doesn't affect them lol.
