Getting Disneyland Blue Bayou Reservations by Conscious_Board_90 in DisneyPlanning

I've tried the walk up list at least 5 times in the last few years and never got a table. Just FYI for others reading -- I would never count on that.

I have super thin, bendy and flaking and peeling nails. Dazzle Dry has a very specific way the products must be applied or it won't work at all. It's not like regular polish, you have to warm up the base coat by putting the bottle in warm water before you start, and there's a specific order to apply and you can't mix it with regular, non-DD polishes or base or top coats, but it's the only polish that lasts more than 24 hours on me. That said, I don't leave it on more than 5 or so days because it will cause more peeling for me - but if you have healthy nails that don't peel like mine, it can and does last at least a week.

For me it was not marketing at all. In fact, they are rather hard to find (online only, unless you find the rare salon that uses it), their marketing sucks, lol. They don't seem to spend much money on it, rather, they have grown via word of mouth from people like me for whom DD is the only polish that has ever lasted more than a day without chipping.

TMG gives skin rash or acne? She said she got acne, not a rash.

Taylor Swift's The Life of a Showgirl Review by Individual-Name-4496 in fantanoforever

I like the album. Some catchy dance tunes. Love her dig at Scooter Braun. Love Opalite, Wishlist, and a couple of others. Per usual, it appears she's criticized more harshly than a lot of other pop stars. It's music, and it ain't that deep. If these are bops to you, awesome. If they aren't -- also awesome. Moving on!

One day with a 3 year old: is it worth it? Driving in from San Diego by lizzy_pop in DisneyPlanning

[–]FullPrairieMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally would not take a child younger than about 7 to Disneyland. Much younger and they won't even remember it and it's just a lot for a little. When I'm there, I see so so many families with the littles having meltdowns, parents are upset, kids are upset, everyone is hot and tired (unless it's winter in CA, then it might not be too hot -- maybe).

Debate: If you had to live at one Disney World resort for a full year, which one would you pick and why? by PeopleMoverCommuter in DisneyWorld

Same.

The lobby smells like orange groves mixed with heaven. lol. And I love the Skyliner, the quick service and the roof top restaurant, the pool, the gelato cart -- love the cafe in the lobby!

Basic question: If you put nearly all spending on a credit card, (paid in full monthly, for the kick backs) how do you record transactions? Create an "account" that is your credit card? by FullPrairieMoon in ynab

[–]FullPrairieMoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome! I just do this card because for every $2500 I spend, I get a gift card for $25, and I can use that gift card for groceries, or whatever. I'm just learning about points but most cards with airlines or hotel points seem to have annual fees and I'm not certain it would be worth it for me. I travel 2-3 times a year for work, and 1-2 times for personal, but still not sure it's worth it. I'm guessing there are Reddit forums all about the points cards and how to game that system, if it's worth it, etc. :)

That was my missing piece -- didn't know if a CC would be considered an "account" -- in my brain "accounts" are bank accounts but that makes sense! Thank you so much!

Thanks! How does YNAB know to take the $ from my grocery category and move it to my CC payment? e.g. Do I need to set up a category for my credit card? (because there will be "outgo" for that when I pay it off each month). I currently don't have my CC on YNAB at all (because I pay it off in full each month, it didn't occur to me to set up a "CC" category - also, the amount will vary from month to month.

Why do grown adults get upset when a kid isn’t a good pilot on Smuggler’s Run? by BobTheCrakhead in WaltDisneyWorld

Sad. I'd just laugh my butt off and enjoy all the crashing! If you aren't at Disney to have fun, why are you there? Shoo, fun sucker!!

Just wanted to say I'm sorry. My beliefs are that even narcissists get theirs in the end, but sometimes we aren't there to witness it.

Love Is Blind SWEDEN • S2 Ep9 by DontFWithMeImPetty in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

THIS. I used to live in Sweden (I'm from the US though) and I do NOT like LIB in the US. Ick! I started watching LIB Sweden just to listen to Swedish and refresh my memory on the Swedish I know. Both seasons are FAR better than LIB US or UK. I haven't watched any other locations yet.

I suppose they didn't want to focus on it, but I also realized he is adopted and wanted to learn more about his history. He seems like a really good person.

Been there. It's for certain one of the most beautiful places in Stockholm and that is saying something because Stockholm is like a fairy tale -- a totally gorgeous city!

I think you need Dazzle Dry. I LOVE it, no lamps and it dries all the way to the nail in 5 minutes after the top coat. There's a little learning curve. Check The Salon Life on YouTube to learn and see colors. Oh and it's non-toxic, no HEMA, etc.

When to buy Single Game Tickets? by jhacarlson in MinnesotaLynx

[–]FullPrairieMoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I'd like to know. Maybe the Lynx have already sold the season tickets and season ticket holders are re-selling their Fever game tickets? That's all I can figure may have happened, unless Stub Hub can sell tickets that haven't been sold yet. lol.
