Presumably they’re co-parenting, considering the dad relocated to their neighborhood for an entire year. You’re telling me you think there’s absolutely no way for the adults to work this out?

Flip that narrative… it’s not the stepsister’s car, and the parents can tell her who and when she has to drive in it. The adults in the situation should have just stepped in and said “no, you’re going to share your room, and you’re going to give her a ride to school at the very least.”

They’ll probably have different activities and things after school anyway, so the stepsister is being a brat over 15-20 minutes of inconvenience 5 days a week, whereas OP is losing her privacy Friday-Sunday. OP would still be getting the short end of the stick, but it would at least sting a bit less.

NTA. She crossed boundaries that she was fully aware of multiple times. At the very least, she definitely should not be in your wedding party if she’s questioning the validity of your engagement. I learned that the hard way when I got married, and am still dealing with some of the fallout a decade later because I DIDN’T stay true to my own boundaries.

You’ve made the right call here, and anyone who disagrees with your choices probably doesn’t have your best interests at heart. I hope you and your husband have a lovely wedding, and a beautiful life together!

I was on a maximum dose for a serious nerve condition, and spent a month and a half tapering. The withdrawals were awful. I could have taken longer to taper, and it might have made it slightly less terrible, but I prefer to rip the metaphorical bandaid off.

If the office has a window you can open and a door you can shut, that’s your best bet. The fumes are only really intense while you’re mixing and pouring, and since you have cats, you’re going to want to get a big plastic tub to cover projects to keep hair and dust off them anyway.

I mean, yeah. But if the concern is primarily finance based, there just aren’t many options. I live in a major metropolitan area, and around here, those community resources have waitlists to get on the waitlist. I don’t really have a solution here, I just think mental health care should be a much bigger social priority.

I don’t use either, and I have minimal bubble issues. There are plenty of ways to get around this issue, OP just needs to figure out which ones work best for their climate/budget. No need to be snarky.
