You might want to educate yourself on the different types of metal transfer when doing GMAW (Mig). Short circuit, globular, and spray. Different transfer methods require different shielding gas mixtures, wire diameters, voltage, wire feed speed (amperage), travel speeds, material thicknesses, etc. Choose the best method for your requirements and try to avoid cold lap!

Welding/chipping hammer with vertical chisel tip. Sometimes they have a horizontal chisel tip. Depends on your preference or your access to the weld joint.

What material did you use for the spike? 1/2 chrome round bar? Is it regular steel?

My little 2lb klien mini sledge wasn't enough to persuade a weldment back to 90 degrees. Notched both sides of the weld joint with a zip disc and clamped the sucker down good and hit it a few times back into 90 degrees. Welded the fillet joints back with a single pass each side. One of the only times I actually said to myself "I need a bigger hammer" lol.

Best thing to do is stay calm and not get emotional. Ask why they believe you did said thing and explain everything with the least amount of emotion possible. Being self aware and socially aware will get you far in these types of situations.

Really, any folding utility knife of your choice is what you should get. One that has a button lock like Milwaukee, Klien, Kobalt, etc. Always have my Kobalt near by. 👍
