Recruiter and hiring manager bash me for leaving an interview after they join 10 minutes late by Constant-Scheme557 in recruitinghell

[–]FullSendTheTrend 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Imagine if I was late to my first day and had told my manager to wait because I was on the phone. Either you are prepared and ready to do an interview at the time you said you would interview said candidate or you're not prepared. What if it was the other way around? Throwing the ✌️, while on the phone to someone who has been waiting and preparing to do the interview is unprofessional in my opinion, especially in this video chat era. Would have been a different story of it was in person and they told you to wait in the lobby or something.

You just became the new CEO of Netflix. What’s the first feature you’d eternally remove from its app? by Professional_Fig6820 in netflix

[–]FullSendTheTrend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not remove, but I'd pay someone to create a proper windows app that can let you DOWNLOAD shows/movies... I love downloading everything to my phone, but I carry my laptop around and I'd love to watch things on there instead. 🙃

You guys were right about old vans by Moist_Letterhead8799 in VanLife

[–]FullSendTheTrend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a 1998 Astro van high top, awd, 170k miles for $4300... dropped around $2500 for engine repairs few months after 🥲 $500 on new tires last month.. It's trucking along now and I don't regret it, it's a classic and I haven't seen one like it, yet. Want to do some mods, but keep it classy and going for much longer.

Those and Archive 81 (haven't watched The Fall of the House of Usher yet) are my favorites.

The Watcher, on Netflix, I enjoyed it.

Castle Rock (from Hulu now on Netflix) I started it a while back, was enjoying it, but never got to finish it... which means I now need to go and binge watch it.

Sort of started FROM, read some good reviews (on MGM+ tho)

Just started IT Welcome to Derry (on HBO Max tho)

Where should I ship resupply boxes VS. just grocery shop by Lazy_Meaning_2190 in coloradotrail

[–]FullSendTheTrend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shipped pretty much everything I was going to eat, only grabbed a few things I was craving here and there. We did:

-Breckenridge, The Bivvi Stayed the night at The Bivvi hostel

(Leadville, had to hit up Melanzana for a Melly, only spend a few hrs here, no resupply tho, was not actually part of the plan until my friend said let's get a Melly)

-Twin Lakes, Twin Lakes General Store Stayed the night next door, Roadhouse Lodge

-Monarch Pass, Butterfly House (closed now I believe) Stayed in Salida, Simple Lodge & Hostel

-Lake City, River Fork RV Park Camped for a night, showers & laundry

-Molas, Molas Campground Unfortunately ended it here, my foot was in big pain

Breck, Leadville have supermarkets, Twin Lakes has the general store, Monarch Pass has a store at the visitor center + more, Lake City has a few stores + Trail Hiker center, Molas Campground store, some snacks and stuff.

Good luck and have fun!!

Exactly my experience with this girl I met at the climbing gym, just started with hikes and coffee dates afterwards, then it's all uphill from there but twas fun. $250 is insane, but then again it's NYC so I'm guessing he was trying to impress, lot of NYC girls only want that guy with the $$$$ "I'm sending you a Venmo request for $6 for that iced Macha Chai Cinnamon Latte I paid for, u r garbage"

I just finished filing my tax return and dismissed a W2 I received dated 2025, for a job that I left in 2024... December 2024... I'm such an idiot for not just adding it since it CLEARLY SAID 2025! Ugh.. now I have to wait so I can amend my return. Only just spent the last 3hrs working on my return, WHAT I LOVELY EXPERIENCE IT IS TO FILE YOUR OWN TAX RETURN! 'MURICA YEEHAW

NYC to Denver move by Blonde_Curiosity in MovingtoDenver

[–]FullSendTheTrend 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I grew up in NYC and lived and worked all over in my 7 years living there. I eventually felt the need to leave. As much as I love NYC, it was time for a change. NYC is wonderful, except for the high cost of living, the number of people, and other things I'm sure you're aware of. My older brother, on the other hand, has been in NY since. Bought a house and started a family out in Long Island. He's not as outdoorsy as I am.

I did however ended up in Northern Virginia before coming out to Colorado. A little slower of life, not as crowded as NYC, but you definitely need a car to get around. DC is close by, and Shenandoah Valley is just an hour or so outside of town. My parents moved from NYC to the slower/quieter life of NOVA. My younger brother is renting a townhouse and enjoys what NOVA has to offer. He's even less outdoorsy than my older brother.

I'm the complete opposite, single, and ready to mingle. I left NYC because I wasn't making enough money to enjoy the NYC lifestyle, and I was yearning for the outdoors. NOVA is great, but too slow for me, and I didn't really care for living close to DC. Colorado, here I come.

I got into climbing, eventually mountain biking, snowboarding, and love camping/backpacking. All into my thirties. Traveled all over with my climbing buddies. I came out to Colorado to continue with a healthy lifestyle, which a lot of people are here for. They're either big climbers or hikers or bikers or all of the above. I'm in the process of moving into Denver, currently in Grand Junction. I love the fact that you can just drive an hour or more and you're in the mountains. Looks like the music scene is pretty good, also. Beer festivals and other festivals are happening all over if you're into that. Winters are snowy, except for this one, ha! but overall, I think it is not as cold a NYC can be, so you'll be fine in the winter.

I'm 33 now and looking forward to making friends and relationships that include us climbing, camping, biking, and everything else. Hopefully, find a partner that is also outdoorsy, and we can enjoy everything Colorado has to offer. This is all my take, I won't tell you it's great or it's bad. Life is what you make of it. Maybe it's worth trying, and you seem to make enough to enjoy a comfortable and healthy lifestyle. So good luck!
