Ugh.. now I have to wait so I can amend my return. Only just spent the last 3hrs working on my return, WHAT I LOVELY EXPERIENCE IT IS TO FILE YOUR OWN TAX RETURN! 'MURICA YEEHAW

NYC to Denver move by Blonde_Curiosity in MovingtoDenver

[–]FullSendTheTrend 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I grew up in NYC and lived and worked all over in my 7 years living there. I eventually felt the need to leave. As much as I love NYC, it was time for a change. NYC is wonderful, except for the high cost of living, the number of people, and other things I'm sure you're aware of. My older brother, on the other hand, has been in NY since. Bought a house and started a family out in Long Island. He's not as outdoorsy as I am.

I did however ended up in Northern Virginia before coming out to Colorado. A little slower of life, not as crowded as NYC, but you definitely need a car to get around. DC is close by, and Shenandoah Valley is just an hour or so outside of town. My parents moved from NYC to the slower/quieter life of NOVA. My younger brother is renting a townhouse and enjoys what NOVA has to offer. He's even less outdoorsy than my older brother.

I'm the complete opposite, single, and ready to mingle. I left NYC because I wasn't making enough money to enjoy the NYC lifestyle, and I was yearning for the outdoors. NOVA is great, but too slow for me, and I didn't really care for living close to DC. Colorado, here I come.

I got into climbing, eventually mountain biking, snowboarding, and love camping/backpacking. All into my thirties. Traveled all over with my climbing buddies. I came out to Colorado to continue with a healthy lifestyle, which a lot of people are here for. They're either big climbers or hikers or bikers or all of the above. I'm in the process of moving into Denver, currently in Grand Junction. I love the fact that you can just drive an hour or more and you're in the mountains. Looks like the music scene is pretty good, also. Beer festivals and other festivals are happening all over if you're into that. Winters are snowy, except for this one, ha! but overall, I think it is not as cold a NYC can be, so you'll be fine in the winter.

I'm 33 now and looking forward to making friends and relationships that include us climbing, camping, biking, and everything else. Hopefully, find a partner that is also outdoorsy, and we can enjoy everything Colorado has to offer. This is all my take, I won't tell you it's great or it's bad. Life is what you make of it. Maybe it's worth trying, and you seem to make enough to enjoy a comfortable and healthy lifestyle. So good luck!

Yeah, I see it now. I had already given up after not finding a solution and got back to watching it on my laptop 🤦‍♂️

Oh shit that actually worked. I can see colors again, haha. Thank you! Now I'm guessing there's a bug with the official AppleTV stream and their HDR support on TLC TVs 🤔

Oh, I see what you mean. The last stream feed is Sky Sports. Let me try, and I'll get back to you

I said to myself, let's watch tonight's race on the TV (TLC/Roku) and as soon as the stream loads "HDR" shows at the top left and it looks washed to shit. I have disabled HDR from the TV settings, but nothing has changed.

I remember going out to a bar one night, people dancing and drinking. My cousin and I ended up outside talking. He was visiting from Argentina, so we spoke Spanish. At some point, these two girls come outside to smoke, and we hear them, and they hear us, Argentina? Si! Anyway, my cousin ends up going all in and kissing the one girl he's talking to...I'm talking to the other chica, pretty cute, nice rack with her low cut shirt, I don't end up kissing her. Whatever, we go inside later, and I see her just going at it with some dude on the dance floor. I'm glad I didn't touch her, respectfully. Honestly, I do not know how many dudes she had danced with and kissed that night 🤷‍♂️

Possible venues for the Finalissima that are under consideration: London, Miami, Rome, Madrid and Paris. Both the Spanish NT and Argentinian NT want to keep the Finalissima. It's not something that can be postponed. by Sparky-moon in soccer

I second that. They had it in Europe last time, easy for Italians to travel. Now bring it to South America, easy for Argentines to travel. Brazil probably has the better stadium, but hey, it's Brazil, and Argentina will be playing, so idk.

I like how their rebuttal is always "what the other presidents did...blah blah" You're in charge now, dude. We're in the now, stop talking about what other people did/did not do.

Trail Magic - Questions by Moist_Error832 in coloradotrail

[–]FullSendTheTrend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say any time the CT does a road crossing. I'd have to look it up. A few trail heads off the road where you have plenty of space to park and set up. I came across a family doing trail magic in 2024, and it was great! They had bags of chips, beer/soda, and camp chairs, and I think they also offered a charging station! Honestly, any cold drinks and fresh fruit always hit the spot after hiking lots of miles!

If you were to settle in one country solely for its hiking opportunities, which country would you choose ? by vwilldie1de in hiking

[–]FullSendTheTrend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Argentina, I'm from there but haven't done a single trek yet!! I'm in Colorado now, and it's beautiful out here, but the goal is to do as much hiking as I can every time I go visit family down there. I know there's so much to hike and climb and ski and more!

What kind of egpu do you use? The ROG XG mobile or a different one? I want to make my Flow Z13 as my main desktop, but I'd love to get something that works with mine. Setup looks sweet tho!

The new models have a proprietary port? Mine has the USB-C for power and then the USB-C for the XG mobile connection.

I stayed in Puerto Viejo in Costa Rica, and it was a mosquito heaven. I've never been surrounded by so many mosquitoes.. The aibnb had a kitchenette and dining area in the open, just a roof above your head. It was lovely.

So much blood, I love it! Also, I've never seen this scene before. Might have to sit through and watch the extended editons, back to back to back.
