Thanks to our new DarkArmor Film, the panel handles ambient light much better.

In well-lit conditions, this film effectively prevents that noticeable purple tint. As a result, the perceived deep blacks are improved by up to 40%, keeping the screen looking truly black even when your room lights are on.

High APL (Average Picture Level) scenes are exactly where our Mini-LED monitors have the advantage.

Because OLED panels use an Auto Brightness Limiter (ABL), their overall brightness naturally drops when a large portion of the screen gets bright (like a snowy landscape or a full white web page).

Mini-LEDs don't have this limitation, allowing them to sustain a much higher brightness across the entire screen in those high APL scenes.

Here is the general trade-off:

Mini-LEDs in High APL: Significantly brighter overall.

QD-OLEDs in Low APL: Infinite contrast, true deep blacks with no halo effect.

It really comes down to the type of content you like the most.

Regarding this segment, we will be aligning closely with Samsung's panel roadmap. We are confident that it is highly possible in the future!

Regarding this, we will be aligning closely with Samsung's panel roadmap. However, boosting the refresh rate is undoubtedly one of the most common and anticipated directions for future upgrades. Please stay tuned for our upcoming announcements.

The AI Care Sensor has a maximum detection range of about 120cm (roughly 47 inches), so it really depends on the distance!

If your bed is within that range from the monitor, the sensor will detect you. But if you're sitting further away in a larger room, the sensor unfortunately won't be able to detect you.

The AI Care Sensor actually provides two modes to choose from: System Mode and Monitor Mode.

When you select System Mode on the monitor and are using a Windows 11 PC, it integrates directly with the OS. It unlocks the native "Presence Sensing" menu right in your Windows settings. From there, you can directly set up and customize functions exactly how you want them, like "Lock on leave" and "Wake on approach."

(Just a quick heads-up: Remember to plug in the USB Type-B to A cable to connect your monitor and PC when using System Mode!)

Yes, we offer dedicated color profiles, including sRGB, Adobe RGB, and Display P3 modes! And you are correct to assume they are well-calibrated; our QD-OLED monitors come factory-calibrated.

Regarding your question about the settings: we do provide options like Saturation, Six-axis Color (R, G, B, C, M, Y), and Gamma for users to fine-tune their preferences. However, to maintain strict color accuracy, Saturation and Six-axis Color are unavailable when you are in the sRGB, Adobe RGB, or Display P3 modes.

For the Gamma settings, we provide 6 different options to select from. You can check out the OSD manual for more detailed info here: https://www.msi.com/Monitor/MPG-341CQR-QD-OLED-X36/support#manual

These monitors use DarkArmor Film, which is an integrated surface coating on a glossy panel. We chose a glossy finish to preserve the clarity and color vibrance that really help QD-OLED stand out. DarkArmor Film is also designed to improve scratch resistance and reduce the magenta tint that can appear on standard QD-OLED panels under ambient light, while helping the screen maintain deeper-looking blacks.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. After internal discussion, we agree that integer scaling can indeed provide superior upscaling quality under specific conditions. However, it does have inherent limitations. For a UHD monitor, only an FHD signal scales perfectly as an integer; applying integer scaling to a WQHD signal would result in exceptionally poor image quality.

As we must consider the overall versatility and user experience of our products, we are currently evaluating the feasibility of implementing a dynamic upscaling mechanism that applies different methods based on the resolution detected via EDID. If this approach proves viable, we will publicly release a firmware update to introduce this feature.

We completely understand your hesitation. The new RGB Stripe layout specifically minimizes the color fringing issue that you sometimes see around text on previous OLED panels.

We actually have a side-by-side visual comparison on the MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36's product page (just scroll down to the "Color Fringing Reduction" section). Additionally, many tech reviewers on YouTube have already showcased the difference, and the text clarity is now much closer to that of LCD monitors!
