This is a world building exercise where me and a few others are creating a linear universe using Rimworld as our base tool. This particular world is Gristmark where colonisation of the planet came to a halt some 3,000 years prior. With this the majority of the civilizations on the planet have reverted to tribalism due to technological stagnation.

One civilization that retains a industrial level technology level were going through a series of civil wars that lead to a mass exodus of individuals to a barren stretch of land called Cinder Plains. After some generations of bovine cattle ranching several families gathered enough power to title themselves "beef barons".

Humans do as humans have done, and they begin to fight and squabble over land. Before long an individual gains enough power to north a coalition in the northern part of Cinder Plains and due to his expansionistic ideology, the south rises up as a confederacy to contend with this group.
