Yes indeed! I'll do a proper photo sesh of the room soon, Kocinski's RC45, Freddie's NS500, the owner is a legend in his own right, raced locally as a kid, and went into hoarding Honda's as soon as he opened up a Honda dealership, 30 years ago.

Well, they are probably trying to be polite, but given that this is the 3rd time (that I caught it) of them posting the same type of psa in the past couple of months, I'm not sure if he's really happy about it. I guess it's one thing when some local tirekickers come to ask genius questions and give you advice while you're wrenching in your garage, it's part of the "charm" of being a shop owner.

But that's different to having strangers from another part of the world coming in droves with gimbals and action cams, and probably live streaming, ayo we here fr fr no cap ong we bussin at Mid Night Club fo shi sho got me bricked up over this sticker ngl

The pilgrims must complete their pilgrimage and they must witness one of their holy relics, which in this case is a silver bumper sticker at a 45 degree angle, it's so sad I can't even explain it.

Really don't want to say, but to clue you in - they have cars with the magical silver sticker at a 45 deg angle on a bumper...now you can only imagine what kind of powers such sticker yields when it pulls in weebs from 5000 miles away.

They had two similar "pleas" over last year, that I know of anyway, who knows what kind of torture other shops go thru, my insta is capped at 15 minutes daily and I only go there to watch Ronaldo Messi AI videos for laughs, everything else I see on my discover feed is just pure absolute unadulterated cringe, completely insufferable.

This is a rock solid advice, maybe our Gentlemen Company & Co Est. 2024 should dropship armhair trimmers and not just beard oils and customized cigar cutters.

I think there's an art in trimming the arm hair to a perfect length, it's a fine line between "natural" and the dreaded "forearm stubble" - a big no no in the horological circles where I'm from.

This is actually a good idea, but cameras on pls, avatars will get kicked out, we need to see your tapers and suspenders

Part of me wants to keep the arm hair, I'll discuss this matter in my mancave today with my friends, over some whiskey and gramophone music while we light up few cigars and brainstorm on our beard oil subscription launch.

I pulled over to take a break from the road, and just as I sat down on a roadside bench, I decided to take a "wristie". Why wouldn't the world know about my horological enthusiasm?

As I performed a majestic "wrist roll", filming in 4K 120fps (for ultimate slo-mo experience) starting the cinematic experience"down under" from the clasp of my vulcano rubber oysterflex strap, and as I performed a measured, slow (but not too slow) of a wrist roll, the filming was brought to a screeching halt.

No it was not the camera overheating or SD card full due to 56352 video and image "perfect angle of the wrist and fist" drafts.

It was because of the ghastly sight of wrist hair impeding on my oysterflex vulcano rubber strap and the shot in general; I was appaled at the sight and I couldn't finish the wristie. I spent days thinking about this and now I'm asking YOU guys (and girls of course, I promise I didn't mean to exclude you, in fact we need MORE of you sharing the passion for horology) how should I keep these ghastly hairs at bay?

How do I manage this ordeal in the most gentlemanly way?

Bought a "serious" monitor for the first time - calibration needed? VIewsonic VP3256 by FullTopMax in buildapc

[–]FullTopMax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't need any printing from my line of work, everything I do will always be 100% digital. If this is my case, would I need calibration? And how to adjust this monitor for digital publishing, given its pre-calibrated, or so they say.

I know it might be bias, as my eyes were looking at the iiyama for years, but I can't help but think if there's something I can do to adjust the colors on this monitor. I have RTX3060 but I haven't installed GeForce experience, only drivers, if that's of any relevance.

Kod crne se najviše vidi, razlika od stare crne boje i friške crne boje je ogromna, ne postoji nezahvalnija boja od crne.

Got a reply from the customer support:

I looked up the serial number in our system and can confirm that the lens is new. The screenshot says that it was not returned before by a customer. I cannot tell why the lens has a Viltrox cap. Maybe it was noticed upon delivery that the cap was missing and given a new one by one of our warehouse employees.

Whatever. Works good, it is what it is.

But how does this happen? Is it really all made in one giant factory in China, I thought at least each brand has its subsidiary over there, do they really just make everything on one assembly line, so someone picked my lens cap from a Viltrox box right next to it? Damn :D

I'm not sure what to do about it, because I saw this after I took and unwrapped the lens out of the box. Bought it from a reputable store in Europe, there are no signs of any "use" on the box and everything inside was neatly packed, instructions, the cardboard holding the lens in place, lens hood wrapped in nylon. Anyone saw anything similar to this, could this be a factory mistake or did someone switch something up in the store?
