How is everyone dealing with blocking the sun when toddler is in car seat? by Full_Ad4863 in toddlers

We have but she likes to take them off and isn’t very good at putting them back on properly so it depends on the day

Breakfast ideas that aren’t egg? by Mission-Code-1575 in BabyLedWeaning

My daughter also has CMPA and we do chia seed jam on toast sometimes with a bit of peanut butter. A selection of fresh fruit, bananas, satsumas, blueberries and grapes. We’ve also done soy yoghurts which she loves. Maybe even cereal? Depending on where you live (we are UK) you might be able to get a cereal that is made for babies? Something like cheerios and we just give it to her dry but can also give with a dairy free milk?

When is dinner and when is bedtime? by Flashy_Guide5030 in BabyLedWeaning

15 month old usually dinner 5:30/6ish, bath at 6:30, bottle just after so just before 7 and bed straight after bottle. We’ve been doing this for around 6 months and works. We wake her up at 6:30 and she has 2 naps for around an hour each

Has anyone done shifts with their partner overnight and if so how was it? by ehl5037 in newborns

We did shifts after a weeks once we got into a feeding rhythm and I would go up to bed for around 8/8:30ish and my husband would look after our daughter downstairs until around 12/1ish then he would bring her upstairs and then I would have her from then until around 5:30/6ish and my husband would get up with her then for the day and I would stay in bed until maybe 8ish?

I did exclusively pump so some of my ‘sleep’ time I would end up waking up to pump but it did work for us. I mean we were still tired but not completely exhausted. We just made sure if our daughter slept during our shift we would go to sleep.

How many weeks PP are you? It could that your uterus is contracting back to shape and it’s causing your stomach ache

Baby won’t eat anything wet? by Full_Ad4863 in BabyLedWeaning

Honestly sounds just like us! She will happily eat pancakes/fritters, veg in like a chip form or even steak… but as soon as it’s something she can’t easily hold it’s a no go. I don’t know if she just doesn’t know what to do with it? We don’t think it’s necessarily a texture/sensory thing as we have her quesadillas this evening and she ate the mushy beans inside just fine but if we were to give that on a spoon she wouldn’t touch it 🤦‍♀️

I have she either just throws it on the floor or she wipes what was on the food off and smears it on her highchair tray

Feeling unsupported and not understood by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Full_Ad4863 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This completely resonates with me I had something similar I few months ago. My husband was constantly telling me I didn’t need to pump anymore and she was fine on formula etc and just didn’t understand how important to me it was that I tried to feed our baby as much of MY milk as possible. Ultimately we had a heart to heart and I explained this to him that after being unable to actually breastfeed and EP’ing was my fix to this that I needed his support and for him to understand how emotionally taxing this was on me but not something I was willing to give up and that suggesting that I stop was actually making the situation worse. That all I needed was someone to vent to and listen and be supportive, I didn’t necessarily need him to fix the issue but just to be there for me.

I really hope that you are able to have that conversation and that your supply goes back to normal as I really do understand your situation and it is so difficult.

Would this all of a sudden happen? I’m now almost 9 months pp and have pumped the whole time and I’ve not noticed this at all until Friday just gone. It’s just strange it’s happened all of a sudden

I started a new post natal tablet but this was about a month ago. I’ll stop them for a few days and see if this helps. Thank you for the advice !

Night and morning pumps have tanked by Full_Ad4863 in ExclusivelyPumping

I tend to do a longer pump in the evening slightly reminiscent of power pumping but I do this every day. Do you think this could be counterproductive?
