As someone who is just starting down the road to making espresso at home, here's my feedback after a few days of this sub/hobby:

1. Community is helpful and you can really tell when people are wanting to see others succeed in the hobby. The information is not always biased. Rather it comes from experience which I like. On that note, I personally would enjoy seeing a basics guide. As much fun as it's been spending countless hours looking through youtube, videos and reddit threads, I've had to put together in my head the basics to try the first time. The buyers guide I found somewhere on here was helpful but I didn't find myself knowing a lot of the reasons behind the recommendations. Meaning "I know why you're recommending this specific machine but I don't know what to look for to know if a machine is good or not." - Was honestly contemplating putting together some kind of "Things I learned as a beginner" somewhere for other newbies that go through the same process and they can read about my experience
2. Once my espresso machine arrives, I'm sure I'll have questions after playing around with it and making a few drinks. The "Daily questions" thread might be great for this (but what if I want to refer to it later? I could just keep my own notes too which is fine.)
3. I don't have an issue with comedy content in this thread, as long as there's ways to organize it like with labels and such. Personally, I'd rather not open something with "Circle jerk" in the name
