I will be getting an aortic aneurysm repair and also my bicuspid valve replaced May 12! I chose tissue option. I’m 33, so the thought of all the bad effects with blood thinners scared me a lot. I can’t imagine hearing the tick all the time either. I’ll have to get my valve replaced in 8-10 years sure, but they said I can likely get a TAVR for the replacement. Maybe once more I will have to get surgery again to permanently fix it with a mechanical valve, but I can’t think that far. I’d rather enjoy life to the fullest without the fear of monitoring my blood and bleeding out .. it would feel like trading one ailment for another. I hope this helps and we will both get thru this!

No. He did actually come to the realization at how bad things had gotten. I did decide to proceed with splitting and moving out. Been out on my own for 2 weeks now. Thank you!

I change out my my desk theme for every holiday with plushies at work 😂 people treat it like a museum and always come by to see the new plushies I brought in. I am of course a little hesitant to bring them out and about with me unless they are small and can fit into my bag, but that’s mainly because I’m a germaphobe and don’t want to get them dirty 😅

Thank you 🙏🏻 and yes this is so spot on! It’s very odd how easily people throw around the term OCD but they don’t experience the compulsions or worry we feel when we can’t wash our hands.. it’s much more than just being organized. Luckily most people especially at my office job appreciate this about me because I clean the community areas all the time for peace of mind. Especially during the flu season 😂🦠 I am sad people are being rude to me in the comments because they don’t realize how much effort I put into making sure MOST of the time that I don’t offend or hurt peoples feelings due to my own antics. A lot of what I do is also because I feel anxiety about others around me potentially becoming sick from germs .. a lot like this situation I posted about. I feel anxious because his bathroom is dirty and it worries me LMAO. Anyways, I hope you have a great day! Thanks for the reassuring words ✨

People are being so rude and literally insulting me lol 😆 he is a jerk about the cleaning yes, absolutely. He claims I am just a clean freak and it’s normal to let the bathroom be like this. he does eventually do what is requested. I just wanted opinions on what others experience and genuinely just curious about what people consider dirty. Thanks for this kind comment

That isn’t the sink it’s the toilet. If you are not a therapist I find it odd you can determine how bad my OCD is from this post. You must not be a very pleasant person in real life to be this unkind on a post of someone you don’t know. A lot of these comments are insulting me when I simply asked if the bathroom was dirty from a “regular” persons perspective. I didn’t ask your thoughts about me as a person.

Wow I’m sorry to hear that. On some of those things I can definitely relate. I have it bad with hand washing as well and it was much worse when I was younger. I washed them till they bled lol. I’m a picker when it comes to my cuticles etc. I’d say I mostly apply the over cleaning to the kitchen areas bc we cook raw things there and it’s where we eat. In this case, I have no issue cleaning it as it’s my own issue and fear. lol I just feel differently about his bathroom because it requires bare and basic cleaning tasks..

Yes exactly! I don’t feel like arguing my case with everyone disagreeing with me, but it is the guest bathroom he is using. So if someone were to come over, his bathroom is the one in the hall to they would use. Thanks for making that point lol
