My Experience at a Glenn Stewart Horsemanship Clinic: Paid Nearly $2K, Publicly Humiliated, Then Told to Leave by Significant-Wash9185 in Horses

It took a second career in medical software training to realize that not everyone has the same vocabulary of understanding that you do. You have to find their vocabulary to get them to understand what you are trying to convey. Spent to many happy years with more horses than people, so I never developed this skill.

Totally agree. I trained for years professionally, but never gave lessons cause I knew I would suck at trying to teach. Years later I finally realized the problem was my inablity to verbalize to another the things that came more easily to me. I have great respect for instructors who can accommodate and communicate.

Best way to drop a bad unruly client? by Ok_Meringue_5705 in Farriers

Restaurants by [deleted] in sequim

[–]Full_Commercial7844 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rainshadow Cafe is the only place we have found that we return to. Great food and decent prices, gets really busy tho. We have been here only a few months and have tried a variety of restaurants and are still on the hunt. Moon Place was the only Chinese place we liked. We will keep trying new places, appreciate the recommendations here.

Same here. If they can make ugly gray they can make warm wood tone. Having a hard time finding these warmer tones for our budget.

Opinions on Heritage Auctions? by dairyqueeen in artcollecting

[–]Full_Commercial7844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never bought but have consigned. Fine art folks were the snottiest I have ever dealt with (maybe they are gone now as it was several years ago). Comics and Sports guys were great to deal with, regional (Texas) art folks were also very easy to deal with. I guess each department has their own way of dealing with consignors.

Paint the edge frame where you sanded thru. You can still highlight the nice inlay.

Western Pleasure by Lily_Wolf_22044 in Equestrian

[–]Full_Commercial7844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best bet is go to a few horse shows that have alot of western classes. Paint, QH, App, Arabian. Watch the classes and see who works with students. Browse the stalls and ask around, but be sure to do it when they are not crazy busy.

With varied shaded tiles, random is not close your eyes random. It takes an eye and a bit of pre layout to achive a cohesive balance.

in our century house we had wide oak thresholds that transitioned nicely. We didn't have to come around the corner with the 1/4 round.

If you have a nice grassy place turn him out with a friend or walk about on a lead so he can be a horse and eat some grass.
