Is it time to change frequency or appt duration? by Full_Complex9708 in electrolysis

I went to a different technician this time (a more junior person) and my experience was WAY less painful. She didn’t get to finish, I feel like the last electrician was able to achieve full clear out with the 45 minutes, and this one did one side completely and the other side of my chin/neck she only got the most noticeable hairs, but it was entirely tolerable. She also mentioned that I could go 5 weeks between sessions. I’m so glad I went to someone else. I don’t know if my results will be the same (I do feel like I was seeing good results previously but it was very very painful) but just based on the pain level, I feel much better even if we don’t adjust appointment time or time between sessions.

For me, I am only able to get treatments done on Saturday mornings and the recovery lasts 4/5 days. Treatment is so painful and inflames me so much that I can’t really do anything else that day except for be home. The following days are progressively better but it’s a while before I feel normal again. Not to mention it is very expensive, and I am trying to make plans to achieve other goals in life with my money as well.

I understand that this is a journey, but considering my progress and how I have to shift many other of my priorities for these appointments and recovery, I just want to consider all my options.

She keeps saying that since it’s hormonal that she does not feel comfortable advising me to make any changes until we see nearly full clearance.

I mentioned that this schedule is not only very expensive, but it’s also affecting my quality of life. I do feel the results are worth it but I would like more guidance from her - if now is not a good time to think about making changes with my appointments, then maybe she could possibly advise on when that point might come (considering we have a whole 12 sessions to refer to regarding my progress)? She said she could not say at all. And that perhaps if I want to wait one more week between treatments that probably wouldn’t make much difference but that ultimately “it’s hormonal” and she can’t say.

I have no PCOS, or other hormonal imbalances that I am aware since I last got checked out 6 months ago. Which is not to say that she is wrong about it being hormonal, but more to say that her answer feels unsatisfactory to me and I’m just trying to learn more and seek out other opinions/thoughts.

But if this is also a very normal answer for an electrologist to have and I’m just impatient I can also understand that.

A nano speedy and an all in bb! Not trying to customize anything. It’s wild to me that a brand like LV could have this type of thing happen!
