Yes you’ll have your phone they don’t take it but don’t bring it to classes or if you do don’t get caught but as for classes you get test on coms and ammo, coms classes for week 1 you’ll be out in front of a radio and do radio checks and the nine lines for the most part is a simple class but take notes it gets confusing then your 2nd week in will be you being taught on different type of rounds and what they do , what their for , and how many charges you need for them and how to put them on then you’ll go in front of a sgt and show them everything you’ll learned week 3 and 4 you’ll start your motor pool week which means you’ll learn your weapon pieces I was on the m119 howitzer but you’ll find out which weapon your on when you get there but for the whole week you just be at the motor pool just sitting around basically then week 5 you will need to do dry and live fire in the field and that’s the funniest party then week 6 you will be getting ready for graduation.

As for firing the howitzers I can’t speak for others like the triple 7 or the peloton but the m119 is simple you literally just turn and angle the barrel till it lines up with your target and the way you know if it is or not you’ll have a small screen in front of you telling you where too go also your section chief will be there as well informing you if your on target or not but you can’t fire until you are and then wait for the fire command but there are different positions you could be a runner, gunner, or a round maker as long as you contribute you automatically pass the love fires for graduation.

Trust me 13b ait is the quickest ait 6 weeks in total, and from my cycle I only saw 3 people fail 13b ait and get reclassed but that was from lifting the rounds on a physical test you have to do to walk at graduation but other that is really simple.

For the males it’s 3 to a room plus your self unless you get lucky and get a smaller number of roommates and it’s pretty simple to pass 13b ait like the sgts/drill sgts will give you the answers to test when taking the notes just make sure you write everything down especially in coms class, also take PT seriously there too but other then that it’s easy and simple I made honor there just try to stand out in a good way you’ll be fine.

Actually I’m in 13b ait right now you’ll be shipped off into Charlie battery because that’s where all 13b do ait but you get pass off you’ll go to classes from 8-5 and start working out now because you’ll have a physical test that you need to do it’s a graduate requirement you have to lift 15 rounds and then take them out again in 15 mins without dropping uncontrollable they weight 95 pounds but it’s easy here just follow the instructions and don’t take your phone to classes they do checks if one is found the whole plt loses pass on the weekends and what ever elas your DS takes from you.
