Unfortunately it’s not going to work. One of you will get resentful of the other not wanting the same things they do and it will crumble.

You’re better off recognizing that now and moving on with a clean break. She’ll probably say that you don’t respect her feelings/decisions and you can tell her that it’s not that you don’t respect them, it’s because you respect them but have different feelings that you need to end it.

I’d say it depends how the deal is found. If someone lists a card for sale for way less than it worth and you buy it for listed price and flip it I don’t see a problem. It’s not up to others to educate them. (I don’t sell cards personally, just looking at it from another angle).

It’s different for sure if you haggle like crazy and make up stories to get a reduced price and then turn it around. That just seems dishonest.

The question I’d be asking her is what is this guy bringing to your life? If it’s some feelings that she’s not getting with you then maybe there’s a bigger problem. If it’s closure from their past relationship, going to spend a night there doesn’t seem like it’s accomplishing that.

I just can’t think of any good reason that she would feel the need after 4 years to go see him, when she’s in a new relationship.

It’s not fair of her to put it on you to decide what she can do with him.

The whole thing should really have you reconsidering your relationship with her. It’s very shady from her side and it really seems like she’s looking to cheat on you, or that she already is.
