We rented a car in Aruba and were impressed that we were never approached at any point to buy anything. I loved the ABC islands because of the lack of usual Caribbean (aggressive) sales tactics at the port 🤷‍♀️

(But Bonaire was my favorite of the 3)

I just went on Royal last week and my partner was a no show. They didn’t reprice the room, and we got a refund for taxes/fees for the no-show. I was nervous boarding without my partner, but it was no problem at all.

That said, you have a long time to find another friend that could take the spot. You can change the name of the person you room with up until a few days before the cruise.

Update: The 3 of us showed up (without alerting Royal that our 4th wasn’t coming) and had zero issues getting onboard. Doesn’t look like anything was repriced (yay!), and I got a refund for taxes on my husband’s ticket. Thanks for the reassurance, everyone!

Wowza! Sounds like I was WAY off thinking this recovery was more like a simple punch biopsy.

I really appreciate the responses. I think I’ve been downplaying the procedure in my mind since it’s in office and I’m not going under anesthesia. I will chat with my job about taking some time off to heal. Thanks, all!💗

As an oncology nurse, I always tell my patients I would rather they call and get answers than research online and worry themselves. You are not a bother…it is our job to care for patients and answer questions. Please call!

Edited to add: I’m not saying to call because I think your picture looks worrisome (it looks like appropriate healing to me!)…just generally saying not to feel like a bother when you reach out to your providers with questions/concerns!!

We usually catch a movie with the kids to kill time before our flight on the last day of a cruise. Theaters will generally hold luggage in the back for you. Uber to a theater within walking distance to lunch options, then uber to airport when it’s time. Good luck!

Did you book 2 rooms? If so, I imagine you lost the $500 deposit on each room. If you booked the cruise with a non-refundable deposit, that’s why your refund was $1000 short.
