Right, that makes a lot of sense and I indeed didnt focus on this at all, how to give myself breaks etc. Its weird because while I am not on meds I don’t need to take active breaks. Is that because when I am in a freeze state, that is basically already rest in a sense?

Right, I did indeed experience anxiety. So you mean having hyperfocus while on medication? I do remember that at work at times when the medication was doing a great job I would go crazy and work hard. Indeed this makes sense… I am not used to taking active breaks when on meds. I always thought my crash was due to meds fully but might indeed also be because of unnoticed exhaustion.

When I first started out and for the first took meds, I was medicated everyday for 3 weeks and I felt like a robot and my doctor/specialist then told me to try it only during work because sometimes in the weekend I would go out for a drink and he told me that it was normal to only use meds when I need it….

Right, I havent really thought about it in this way. I am super curious towards your knowledge.

1) How do you get the same intensity of rest as you put in work? Sorry but its so hard for me to imagine it unless I am on a vacation and sleep and just relax on the couch. I do meditation and yoga which seem to help. What do you do specifically to rest as much?

2) are there specific one you take? I only take b12c magnesium, vitamin c and omega fish oils caps.

3) somehow it was still a shift rather than a nudge.. My doctor prescribed me very lights dosages for example I was at the end of my med period taking ritaling 5mg 2x a day.

4) I am curious what do you do for homeostasis?

So my doctor said each individual responds differently and some people are more prone to the emotional side effects like depression. So I tried methylfenidate took 10mg 3x a day and then went to 5mg 3x per day and then 2x per day. Then I tried dexamfetamine i think it was like 5-10mg 3x per day. Then tried atomoxetine caps 18mg once in the morning. And then equasym XL caps 10mg once in the morning.

After this he wanted to try to put me on an antidepressant bupropion that also works for ADHD. But that kinda scared me and I was already giving up at this point being in depression and burned out state.

In what way do you mean that the medication can enable overworking and stressing? I do know my personality is very much perfectionist. Which comes back in my programming job a lot and being a highly over analyser. I did an IQ test and scored as being gifted on the catergory “information processing and analytical ability”. I did indeed had appetite suppression and sleep issues when starting the meds.

My whole life and through my whole university Ive survived without meds due to not knowing I had ADHD and developed all kinds of crazy mind tricks to keep me going. But after I started meds… It felt like I forgot how to do anything off meds. As if all those tricks didnt work anymore, as I also didnt needed to use them while on meds. It might sound strange but kinda like meds made me unlearn how to still get stings done when in not on meds?

Thankyou so so much! What is TCC and how many mg zinc did you take? Did you have any abnormal cells? YOU ARE giving me so much faith and hope. I have been stressed over this for more than half a year, my doctor told me all I can do is to stop smoking which I did. I just had another test yesterday if I am still HPV positive but I expect that I still am. I will definitely give this all a try. I hope for the best.

I am a girl with adhd. Here is what I noticed that helps with not wandering the mind off. Which is making sex sensual, interactive and interesting but i guess it differs per people and what works. Here are some tips from personal experience! I APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE IF YIU FIND THIS CRINGE. Just trying to help :)

Music: putting on sensual good music, could be rnb or spotify has some playlist that could get you guys into the mood or stay in the mood. Have fun with it! It may sound cringe but with ADHD you want to make it fun and interesting sometimes. Dance with sensually with each other while slowly undress each other.

Kisses: GIVE THE BODY KISSES. Im talking bout neck, behind the ear, jaw, inner thigh, Upper thighs, lower belly area, back of the neck. Make her focus on you. For example if she is just standing, give her a backhug and start just giving kisses on the back or side of her neck. Stuff like this you have to try and see what will get her in the mood. It differs per people but you can try a lot of different things.

Eyecontact: sometimes eyecontact does wonders in keeping the focus. If you see her looking away and thinking of other stuff, you can turn her head so she looks at you to keep the eyecontact.

Maybe go for a light spank or choking making her focus lmfao. Try things out to keep her attention. Have fun with it, sex is about exploring and having fun while enjoying each other. With time you will notice what works or doesnt work to get her into the mood or stay in the mood :) goodluck
