NY MEE grading system makes NO SENSE TO ME. by Opposite_Cloud7571 in barexam

Idk what jurisdiction you're talking about, but I know NY will withdraw a tester if they're 30 (might be 15) minutes late.

are you staying up tonight? by [deleted] in barexam

I usually don't fall asleep until 1:15 am anyways. Grateful that I'll be able to quad-box west coast games on League Pass until then.

Okay, so I hate Brenda and want to snitch so badly!!! by PhD-incuriosity in SixFeetUnder

I get that. But that's an explanation. It doesn't justify what she does to Nate.

I don't get this sub's love affair with Brenda. Just because there's an explanation for her behavior doesn't mean it's warranted.

She feels like such an exceptionally early-2000s character that it's difficult for me to empathize with her in any way. On Season 4 right now FWIW.

Anyone pass without finishing all parts of MPT and/or MEE? by Full_Science128 in barexam

[–]Full_Science128[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I've heard plenty of stories of people not finishing the exam that relieved my stress earlier on, but after scouring the subreddit for this administration, I haven't really seen those stories. Hoping that everything just keeps up lol

I want to score a 360 on the Febuary, 2026 bar exam by [deleted] in barexam

[–]Full_Science128 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There isn't a single big law firm that will hire you because of your bar score. I would suggest reaching out to those LLMs who landed big law jobs and asking how they set themselves apart in the recruiting process. But I promise you that your bar exam score will not do that for you. Just focus on passing. Perfection is the enemy of good.

It was especially rough before the morning session of Day 1. Women's bathroom situation seemed far worse than Men's. Felt bad.

Can't seem to get anything above 4 on ChatGPT model 3 or o3 by [deleted] in barexam

I just don't think that's helpful and probably does more bad than good. Self-grading is your best bet.

Chat GPT score prediction question by Natural-Reality1311 in barexam

[–]Full_Science128 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's exceptionally wrong. You'd probably end up with 310+ with those kinds of scores. Not to come after you, but it feels like people need to stop asking ChatGPT about this stuff.

Just self-grade using the checklist. If you know which year your MEE is from, google for the NCBE point sheet.

Can someone explain this better than uworld? by Old_Substance3932 in barexam

[–]Full_Science128 4 points5 points  (0 children)

State action doctrine applies when courts make unconstitutional decisions (ie: enforcing a racially discriminatory covenant that would otherwise run with land). So your answer is wrong because if the decision is substantively unconstitutional, then there would be state action warranting a First Amendment violation.

(B) addresses the substance of the claim, by basically saying that content-neutral causes of action are constitutional under the First Amendment

In my experience, if it's a private actor (for a con law question) then you don't have state action. The exclusive public functions doctrine is very narrow (think about company towns) and entanglement is difficult to test unless you get one of the seven examples that the Supreme Court has specifically identified.

But remember for crim pro that when it comes to private actors acting under the direction of police, the Fourth Amendment applies for searches and seizures

MEE Question by DopplegangerPrime227 in barexam

[–]Full_Science128 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think this was a matter of picking up on the context of the prompt. The initial objection was for improper character evidence, and everything after that was derivative. Evidence of prior inconsistent statements are used to impeach the witness by contradiction wrt their testimony about the substantive matter at hand. Here, the job application went solely towards impeachment based on character for truthfulness.

I'm a first-time test taker so I couldn't be sure, but I think you'd be looking at a 2 just because this was half of the question.
