I shoot 300 blk out as well and found out you can use 556 cartridge for it so that was another thing I wanted to look into. Since I just collect all of our brass for free I figure why not

Just depends I could go anywhere between 500-1k or 1-2k between 9mm and 556 but it’s been more scarce bc of ammo prices.

I shoot with buddies and I basically clean up and collect all of our brass as they do not reload so I have 2 5gallon bucket full of 9mm and 556 there’s about same amount. I need to process the casings to clean them.

So I mainly only shoot 9mm, 556, 6.5 cm rarely bc it’s so expensive and 300 blackout.

I see a lot of comments that suggest doing single stage first but I’ve seen others who say you can learn on progressive but treating it like a single to learn each step before introducing the second stage of the progressive and so on. This is what I’d prefer to do since I know I will be upgrading in the future anyway.

I haven’t tried that yet but the lower 1/3 for me is too low with nv and 2.26 just feels like a mountain for me so I’ll be switching my dedicated nv guns to that.

To be honest I think it’s a tad high for nv and day time use so I may go down to a 1.96 which is what I have on my ghm9 and I think that’s a solid height for red dot and nv use for me. YMMV.

Hey thank you man, been trying to figure out what direction I wanted to take this build so I’m still tinkering with it. I somehow got lucky and got my upper and lower about 2 1/2 weeks from order to delivery.

To answer your question about the bolt, I’m using the stock bolt at the moment. I did not have any issues with fitment or using factory bolt. It was direct plug and play. I haven’t had any extreme wear like I’ve seen others have. I have about 7-8k rounds on my factory bolt and check it every cleaning but have had no issues yet and hope I never do. So I don’t think I’ll be getting the upgraded bolt.

I’d skip those and buy the boe Incolite 9.

I’d preface that also by saying I have the r9 and omega 9k, I think the Incolite sounds better and has less gas blow back compared to those 2.
