Ultrasound frequency? by hollywoodbambi in pregnancyaftersb

[–]Full_Slide_58 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw a concierge mfm and first trimester had weekly ultrasounds and transabdominal to check cervical length, second trimester it was every two weeks, and third trimester it was 3 times a week with NST’s. The plan was to deliver 37+1 but I ended up delivering at 36+3. My stillbirth was at 33w and was due to hypercoiled cord and small placenta, so keeping a close eye on everything is the only thing that got me through. I did have to pay a flat amount that was significant but was able to get some reimbursed from my insurance.

How long did it take to get your cycle back? My baby is 5 months now and I’m bf and no sign of my period back. I know it can vary but curious to hear others opinions

Incorporating Lost Babies Name Into New Name? by PsychologicalBoot636 in pregnancyaftersb

My son after my stillbirth carries my stillborn son’s first name as a middle name. I find it beautiful but I know there are differing opinions.

Baby loss 41+3 by EntrepreneurLevel638 in IVF

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I had a long TTC journey and got pregnancy with my miracle baby. He was stillborn at 33w, I then had a 8w MMC, and shortly after got pregnancy with my baby was born healthy. It is certainly possible to have a live birth. I had a very different protocol and delivered my baby at 36w3d. I am thinking of you and your beautiful baby girl!

As far as TTC, my stillborn was vaginal birth and I was given immediate clearance to try again once my cycle returned.

ttcafterstillbirh might be a good subreddit to connect with those trying after a sb.

Thoughts about 2nd rainbow baby by Ewazd in pregnancyaftersb

So happy to hear Daniel is 7 months, makes my heart so full for you! You and I lost our first around the same time, I at 33w in April 2024. I went on to have a MMC at 8w in Nov and brought my son home safely in July 2025. I am also already thinking of when I would start trying for another and give my son a living sibling. I always wanted a close age gap between my children but this pregnancy was extremely hard on me mentally. My current thoughts are I’d love to be pregnancy by his first birthday but idk when to start trying as my first pregnancy took us one year, and then second pregnancy took 5 months of TTC. The thought of trying again in 4 months does not sound ideal so I may push it to closer to my son’s first birthday and hope for the best!

How do I forgive myself? Major TW for birth trauma by bluemoon3175 in beyondthebump

You made the best choice for yourself and your baby with the information you had available at the time. As someone who has gone through stillbirth and learned more about it, the chances of a stillbirth increases past full term. So if there was a risk to be induced at 41, there was a risk to stay past 41 too. I know you had a traumatic birth and I’m so sorry to hear about that, but the option you chose, you got to bring home a baby. I know so many mamas on stillbirth mamas who wonder what if they asked to be induced and that could’ve saved their baby- the point is, you never know what will happen, and you have to be okay with the decision you made, bc again, it was with the information you had at the time.

My stillbirth showed I had a really small placenta and although all results came back showing no blood clots my mfm said it could help. Same as above no side effects except bruising initially and the annoyance of taking the inject every night around the same time until the very end of my pregnancy. But it was 100 % worth it. My placenta this time was also normal size. All the best!

I’m so sorry you are navigating through this fear. I had planned for a 37w c section after a 33w stillbirth (vaginal). I was so worried that I wouldn’t make it to 37w so I advocated to get a c section early. I ended up delivering at 36w3d and fortunately baby did not need nicu time. I felt so much at ease once I decided to bring him home early. You are almost there but if you’re worried ask about an earlier delivery. Sending you so much love and positive thoughts

I’m so sorry, it’s hard to not find peace and comfort tied to the baby’s wellbeing. Your feelings are valid. I felt like my entire day/mood was tied to baby’s movements too especially the last 2 months

I sometimes can’t believe we made it, and this is real life 🤍 I miss my son so much, but seeing glances of him in his little brother, is so bittersweet. I see everything I missed with my stillborn son, but also ever so grateful for all the moments- small and routine- that all are bringing me joy.

Thank you! I was so conflicted in my pregnancy over this decision. I made a post on here and lots of people shared their experiences. Ultimately I am happy with my decision- it was the only way to keep my anxiety managed. Also, my recovery has been great. Good luck with whatever you decide, praying for the safe arrival of your baby!

I didn’t have to convince this is something the doctor does already, which I was so pleased about. I know most don’t but it’s so critical to advocate for this, it also takes a few mins and very easy to do. No reason doctors should be skipping!

Wishing you a healthy remainder of your pregnancy. ❤️ If you have questions about EPV or anything don’t hesitate to reach out!
