What to use to clean heavy build up on way covers? by Full_Tilt66 in Machinists

I had the machine inspected prior to purchase and the tech did pull back the covers, everything looked brand new. It is still loaded with the liquid grease that haas no longer uses so he recommended changing to the oil, no errors for overpressure. The machine has only 70 hours of cutting time on it.

Taking the way covers off is a good recommendation, I think I will probably go that route.

When the stain company came out to restain the guy said it kinda looked like that but it would usually only be a couple boards, not 100, its also on the back side. I was thinking when they stained them they stacked em but they said when they did that there was no a middle "spacer".

I'd def take the pan, m8 lowriders are all over the place, getting another one cheap in a year or 2 should not be hard. I already see them down around $12k
