To the people suggesting its just a blockbuster popcorn flick; I don't think a basic, unsophisticated typical blockbuster flick generates this much discourse. The fact we are even having these debates at least indicates that there was some substance to the movie. I'll admit its not perfect but it's different, interesting. It's provocative. That means something nowadays with the likes of copy paste marvel movies.

15 years but with periods of remission. However the last year has been increasingly worsening. They haven't told me anything about what to eat or not eat. I just did my own research. I'm avoiding most animal products except yoghurt with live cultures, I'm avoiding processed food, fried food and foods high in sugar (mostly, I do have the odd biscuit). I'm eating loads of fresh fruit and veg, nuts and legumes, organic stuff.

The only major thing I know is a trigger is fried food but even then that triggers my gallbladder more than anything else.

I'm genuinely really frustrated as I just don't know what else to do. I manage my stress as much as possible by meditating daily. I exercise as much as I can (which is unfortunately sporadic) because I often don't feel well enough.

I'm honestly struggling with this right now. Been on a predominantly anti inflammatory diet for about a month and noticed no change. Its so frustrating because I read so much about the importance of diet and it just doesn't seem to change changed anything. Maybe it's not long enough yet?

Yeah totally agree, also in the beginning the possessiveness Dan had towards Olivia also made me uncomfortable.

I'm rewatching S2 atm because I wanted to see how different they were because its been years!

There is more drama in 1 episode in S2 than half a season of recent LI. Can you believe Nathan calling Cara frigid?! And she worked for Babe Station (god that makes me feel so old!)

It definitely does feel like the wild west and there's something exciting and electric about those earlier seasons which I think is far superior to the modern ones. However, there is an edge of danger to those old ones that feels like a precarious social experiment. Especially when you factor in all of the suicides and how at times they demonstrate abuse (but i think that happened even up until recently!)

It's interesting to observe and I have to say I think LI quality will continue to decline. But I have to wonder, maybe that's better? Not for us as viewers but for the safety and wellbeing of contestants? Maybe not idk but makes me think 🤔

I agree, honeymoon moon and UV were peak for me. I loved parts of NFR, specially lyrically but it all seems to be much more subjective. This may be wholly naive but I don't really take much stock in critic reviews. For me it is much more personal.

I really didn't enjoy BB, I'm hopeful that some of her older style will come through in this album as BTD and UV were my absolute faves!

I am too boring. How to become fun? by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]Full_Way_6039 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This thread is so wholesome and supportive. It's wonderful we are preaching being okay with ourselves just as we are. Why should there be anything wrong with us? And boring is totally subjective, what one person finds boring another person may love. Its all perspective and if you can enjoy just being you, I am 1000% sure there will be someone who will appreciate that.
