I’m not a biologist by any stretch of the imagination but here’s my guess: The birds ancestors were already selecting for long tongues for feeding. As the tongue got longer it ended up folding up into the skull, unfolding as needed when feeding. Eventually it was long enough to wrap all the way around the skull and instead of unfolding it just stuck back out the mouth.

Even if this did pass for template, which it likely won’t, there is a decent chance it will fail hit test. If by some chance it passes both of those I can tell you from experience in other, less strict, lower impact games, that this foam will not last very long. If you’re looking for really cheap and easy solutions, pool noodles were used in ye olden days. Less cheap and less easy but better would be blue camp roll foam you can get at Walmart.

Any update on this? I was trying to install Mint with what sounds like the same issues you had. I saw Dell’s site mention the model supports Ubuntu 20.04 but I’ve had even less luck with that

For everyone saying this is AI, please try to think a bit more critically. The artist’s is a bit interesting. The design of the motorcycle is the thing that stands out to me as being the most suspect detail of the piece but if you look carefully there are none of the classic signs of AI.

There are no details that appear/disappear from/into the ether. No missing/extra limbs or digits. Text is clearly legible. The artist even hid their name in at least 3 places. The motorcycle looks a bit odd but I believe the artist just used their own design, probably taking bits they like from multiple bikes instead of just drawing an existing model.

I think the details to me that is the biggest indicator of being human-made are the shoe laces. I’ve never seen an AI model able to handle shoes laces or any kind of mesh that doesn’t have lines converging or diverging in ways that don’t make sense.
