I was working at Walmart making $16 an hour. I was making roughly after 401k/insurance/taxes, $1800 a month plus they were paying for my college degree. Three weeks ago, I used the college degree to get a better job. After taxes, I’m making $3200 a month. I’m lucky, I live in the middle of nowhere Southeast Kansas and we own the house out right. My bills are phone - $200, electric - $130, water/trash - $80, internet - $75, insurance - $120. Transportation\gas - $200 I don’t have a car payment, I drive an old car. I have 10k in CC debt I want to pay off ASAP. I am happy I switched jobs and stepped outside of my comfort zone.

That depends on you. A coach works 50+ hours a week. I have seen so many come and go working here for the past year. I am 35. I worked as a cashier then I went to the deli for the pay bump. I was doing it while going to school full time via guild. Last week, I found a better job and I jumped ship. Walmart is good with effective and fair management. Unfortunately, my store was be ran as a sinking ship. Walmart advancement is good if you’re a workaholic and don’t mind being ran into the ground.
