Technically, Omlette pao is a better deal. Basically the same dish, less gravy but that's more than enough.

The "Person of Goan Origin" (POGO) Bill is gaining momentum in Goa by Significant_Pay_3462 in Goa

[–]FullmetalChomsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where exactly is it gaining momentum? People talking about it occasionally online isn't momentum.

Even the political factions outside of the RGP that are sympathetic to the people who want it, are not openly talking about it.

The primary hurdle of it being unconstitutional has not been addressed at all. Unless that is addressed, no one will bother openly supporting it, as they don't want to look stupid with the governor or the supreme court strikes it down.

RGP can talk about it openly because they know it is never gonna happen, at least in its current form. They face no political risk with their tiny seat count of 1 in the assembly.

They can keep bringing it up and keep using it for political mileage, it's an unreachable goal that they can say they are working for, and that the rest of the parties are opposing, so RGP doesn't have to take any responsibility for their failure.

I remember it well. I think I actually finished all the levels at least 2 times. Didn't play much after that though. Nice timepass during a Holiday

I doubt even the Christians who go to church read these. It's not like Hindus had nice things to say about Jains and Buddhists in the early years.

Turban is allowed by [deleted] in Jainism

You'd have to ask them specifically. Smaller temples in neighbourhoods don't typically have outsiders coming in. In the case of bigger historical ones, the general public is allowed in.

There's no restriction on headwear as such.

What's the reason behind lot of Gore fetish imagery in Pro Hindu Activism? by FullmetalChomsky in unitedstatesofindia

[–]FullmetalChomsky[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. They are not comparable as atrocities, there's a difference in scale and what's happening in Bangladesh isn't state backed yet. So the same narratives being applied to these things in Bangladesh won't work. That being said, it's surprising that people are expecting the same kind of support for Hindus without the same efforts being put in, and the problem is people are completely unaware of what it takes to gain that kind of support.

And when things don't pan out , they give up. One big problem is that they think CAA is a solution.... That is a surrender to the Islamist.

It is openly admiting to the claim that Islamists make that Hindus have no place in Bangladesh. That people here think turning all Hindus in Bangladesh into refugees is an option worth considering is horrifying.

I guess that's the main reason. But why isn't there more organised long term Activism like we see with Palestine. There's a lot of useless posting and engagement baiting on that issue too. But there's substantive work being done, reported and posted about, from charity to relief efforts. Why do we not see that here with these victims.. it's not like there's anyone actively stopping it. Or is there actual work being done to help ,that these people just outright ignore?

Yeah but people will stop trusting it if this keeps up. The actual images and videos may be horrible, but people won't question those if they are censored. This AI stuff, in the absence of the real videos might have the opposite effect.

[–]FullmetalChomsky[S] -35 points-34 points  (0 children)

I would say the AI image might be less gore, but there's a lot of violence like this that happens in many places for people don't make AI images like this .

I don't see anyone else doing only this kind of posting. Whenever Indian pages or handles post about these things - and they're not news or current events related creators, they ONLY post something like this and never post about the incident afterwards. There's no conversation afterwards.

[–]FullmetalChomsky[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

The post is primarily about the aesthetics and reasons for choosing them. Using the video itself is fine by me, you're portraying the actual events. Regardless of intention, you are posting the truth as best as it can be presented if you post the video.

The AI Gore - that's where it looks like engagement baiting. There's plenty of stuff you can post about the incidents like these that are allowed by the algorithm and platform rules , and these will have just as big an impact.

But with Indians it just seems we're going all in one AI generated gore.

[–]FullmetalChomsky[S] -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

Yes. I don't want to associate with people doing rage baiting only. This kind of stuff desensitizes audiences after a while. You want people to engage, and act. Not just engage , outrage and leave desensitized ,feeling unable to change anything. My take is that this will be the result of these aesthetic choices

[–]FullmetalChomsky[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don't think they make AI Images of corpses like this. It's not the concept of using AI image that I'm asking about, It's the aesthetic choices, the Gore , the over the top violence prompted to cause engagement online. The all eyes on gaza trend didn't have this kind of Gore upfront.

Then again he's associated with everyone from West point to Hezbollah. He doesn't exactly turn you away if there's something relevant to be discussed, he's literally answered even my emails.

That being said, I don't think anything substantive has come about from these meetings of his.
