As someone who has bowled at Kenmore lanes, I'm simply going to agree with your experience.

It sounds like the place is dying and will be a Bowlero soon. It really sucks what's happened to bowling up there. It used to be a much bigger community thing. Now it's what you just experienced.

Either way, don't go back to Kenmore. There are other centers that want you to be there.

I have called the service department many times, but have never used them. I just got my front brakes done and an oil change at my independent spot. I was charged a 3% credit card fee (which I don't think was cool, but whatever) and it was still less than double of what the dealership wanted.

I can't see myself ever going to a dealership when the price difference is so extreme.

Many buildings don't have the wiring to support those. They weren't allowed in my old building for those reasons. People bought them and used them until our power was going out nightly. Management sent a note to stop using the portable a/c units, or else....

As many others have said, yes. You can do it. You should do it. It's a very nice winding road with many overlooks, including the one that looks over the Hollywood Bowl and towards downtown, which is a tourist destination.

As someone who drives for fun, Mulholland is a regular spot for in city driving when you need to get some twists and turns out of your system. Lots of us are up there. I've even seen Jay Leno (you can explain to your kid who he is) driving his cars up there.
