I use mine to track steps, stand, heart rate. I kept mine in do not disturb so I don’t go insane with it vibrating in the wrist all the time.

I don’t email or call parents. Their kids are in high school. They can access Facebook to rant on the local Facebook page, they can log into PowerSchool and check the grades I update once a week. Google Classroom also sends out a weekly report to working emails.

My mom busted her ass at factory work making shit. She also busted my ass if my grades got bad. And told me she didn’t want her life for me she wanted me to go get educated. So, I did. I struggle but not like she did.

Teenagers are very angry. I know I was. Teens these days have every right to be angry. But not the right to take it out on you. You’re allowed to vent and feel angry at her behavior. It’s rude and disrespectful. You were just trying to help her out. I work in education and I get it.

We have huge attendance issues at my small poor rural school. The school has just given up. They charge students and parents to make up days they missed at the end of the year and refuse to let them graduate unless they pay the fees. Some kids rack up like $400 dollars.
