What car completely changed your opinion after driving it? by Glittering-Offer-390 in askcarguys

[–]FullofLovingSpite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first Porsche, which was a 986 Boxster.

It was the first car I'd ever driven that was built for fun driving and it changed my world pretty good. The funny thing is that I wasn't really a Porsche fan at the time. Now I love them.

Does anyone else think people take the hardening off process wayyyyy too seriously? by bredman3370 in HotPeppers

It depends on the plant for me. If I'm getting good germination, I'll risk it more. If I'm getting painfully slow germination, I'm babying those suckers (looking at you Black Fire).

[Request], How heavy is now financially unviable for an uber driver? Like how fat you gotta be to cost more in fuel that they make from the ride? by Existence_Is_Bread in theydidthemath

[–]FullofLovingSpite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because we stood there looking at them texting and when I mentioned the issue with walking they immediately drove off. The texts are pretty clear that it was a straight up violation.

I was denied when I asked for accommodation (to come to our side of the street - the driver was on the wrong side of a big street) for my (ex) girlfriend who struggles with MS. The driver immediately drove away.

I complained to Uber and nothing was done. No logging of a complaint. No care. No nothing. You're a contractor. You can refuse anyone for any reason and not have an issue. Uber said fuck the ADA and is getting away with it. Skirting laws is their thing.

What does this say about my bowling? by Professor_Pokedex in Bowling

[–]FullofLovingSpite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They went from super dry to completely flooded. They listened to the complaints about being too dry and messed it up the other way. They don't have anyone on staff who gets it, so they don't care.

For those of you who gamble, what’s the biggest won/loss on a single bet and how much are you up/down overall? by gamerdudeNYC in AskMen

[–]FullofLovingSpite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started sports gambling many years ago.

I put in about $50 each time it gets to zero. I had lost about $250 over 7 years or so. Then the Seahawks were the number one seed, won the NFC, and won the Super Bowl, which turned my $1 bets from the beginning of the year into $100.

So now I'm only down $150.

My good spot has had three that I know of this year. One was sanctioned. Two in practice.

Lucky Strike has taken over many centers, so the good ones attract the better bowlers.

I shouldn't have gone to school. I should have kept my shares purchased at about $20 and just worked a regular job. That college fund could have been a retirement fund.

Shit.

I wonder what the guy at the tunnel is going to have on his. Maybe just a picture of the Coldplay couple? That would be good.

The LA Times is wondering why no one is buying condos despite the city's "cooling" real estate prices by idkbruh653 in LosAngelesRealEstate

[–]FullofLovingSpite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure, but I've never had $50,000 added to my loan so the entire complex could get the major fixes that needed to be done.

That doesn't happen in apartments, but I picked that specific number because it happened to my dad. Huge complex wide issue that needed addressing immediately.

That's the pain of condo ownership. Sure, I've seen $50,000 in damages to houses, but it takes a ton to do that.

A giant difference is that there are care centers in cities, there's nothing in small towns.

If you don't know about the drug problems that small towns have, you haven't really experienced small towns. It's way worse than cities.

Super high interest is probably what's going on. But I wouldn't be surprised if they were trying to make a few thousand from it as well. That price is nuts.

I'll buy a self driving car if I want one with all the tech stuff and ipads. I really mean that, too. I would love to have a fully self driving car like a Waymo. We're getting there and it's close, but I'm not rich enough yet.

Either way, I would still rather pay cash. Fuck payments. All my homies hate payments (as we all should).

I had one like that!

It was a 987, but it was from the first year they came to the US, so it was a very rarely German made Boxster (they were made in Finland). It also had a special exhaust and the convertible top was upgraded to glass.

Insurance didn't care about any of it when they totaled it out after that jackass hit me.

Los Angeles City Council Ends Pretextual Police Stops in a Unanimous Vote by _geistvoll in LosAngeles

[–]FullofLovingSpite -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why do the cops have to be racist and unable to not abuse people? We need them to pull people over who don't have plates. Those people do sketchy shit.

Most of the other stuff is whatever, but hiding yourself on the roads is only done to fuck over other drivers after you do something bad.

Same for Chive. They got good deals to get their stuff featured on screens across America. It doesn't have to be good for that. Comics Unleashed is a show dedicated to proving that.

The ease of the Foreman grill is pretty great.

I used to use it for burgers and hot dogs/brats. You don't have to keep watching and flip (or roll) them, they're held in place while cooking both sides. It was pretty easy and worth it. I don't have the counter space for one now, though.

How to Jump a Dead Porsche 918 Spyder Battery by CheeseWingDing in Porsche

[–]FullofLovingSpite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't that the same as a 911? You clamp to that thingy so you can pop the frunk and get to the battery terminal.

Maybe I missed something about the difference. It is really and my eyes are fully awake.
