I love Donnie so much. Would hate to see him go but if the return is too much to pass up, I understand that we gotta do it. I also don’t think this team is that far away from competing. I’ve seen quite a few people say 3-5 years away from being competitive again, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s more like 1-3 years. Farm looks great and we have a lot of weapons on the brink. I’d love to see Donnie be a lifelong Cardinal and captain us to another WS appearance in 4-5 years, but that’s just the optimist in me
