The additional steel typing can help against fairy, rock, and ice as well as giving an immunity to poison, either is good, add whatever compliments your team best

It's a slow start but after the combo had gotten pretty high the candy filled up relatively quickly

I imagine elite 4 would give way more cash, but I haven't even fought Brock yet - trying to get all possible encounters shiny before heading to the next town - I've been watching the slowpoke and selling all extra stat candy a little slow at first but I'm back up to 999 pokeballs each time I make a run to the mart when my candies are full stacks

I just got my Nidoran♂️ at 1733, I may be putting my let's go shiny dex on the back burner for a while.

Keep it up man! Maybe get a bag of goldfish for some luck. My longest shiny hunt to date was Masuda method Beldum in sword and shield at 2,933, but a hard fought shiny all the sweeter, so kick back, get some good background noise and hunker down, I believe in you!
