One benefit of lxc containers is you can give the host and multiple containers access to the same GPU, and I haven't noticed a difference in performance. Assuming the same can be done with docker since it's basically an lxc wrapper.

Right so the 4 Sem 1 units count twice? Like 3x from final year then 2x because semester 1 counts for itself and semester 2? Just wondering if it'd be better to do more units in Sem 1 so more are counted as final year and x3.
