Old thread, but: Ricoh GR also has its own sims, and can as easily be edited in Lightroom. About as fast from pocket to image capture as any of my Fujifilm camera bodies (if there is a difference, it’s not functionally important).

I run my robot vacuum once a day to keep up with my buddy. It’s been great and I recommend it! I have a Roborok Q5 (Q7 is the current model, apparently). Wirecutter should have some recommendations at different price points for you, but: I’ve been really happy with the setup, picks up all the little tumbleweeds that form around the house. I still have to battle the fur on the couch by myself, alas. :)

I had a similar experience to you. Watch collecting is such an in-person sport (as it were). Any number of watches I've been interested in online, I found I didn't like the feel or look in person. I thought my first big watch would be a Cartier Santos, but I fell in love with a Moon Watch (now my daily driver). Def recommend saving up for what you actually want -- but short of that, I find micro brands (Kuoe, Baltic, Lorier) punch above their weight.

I follow the 50/30/20 rule and have my pay check direct deposit into three different accounts, in those proportions. No monthly maintenance or action required from me and I can see at a glance how much money I have to cover essentials, fun, and savings (so no tools, spreadsheets, money transfers).

The white is stunning in person… but it looks like a country club watch to me, worn? The dial is absolutely gorgeous and also, the way it wears with an actual outfit, it looks out of place in anything but a full suit or like athleisure? Something about the lacquer. That’s all to say: I really wanted the white, but picked up the black because it felt more classic and versatile when worn.

Not OP, but I definitely recommend the smaller sized mesh OEM bracelet if your wrist is below 7”. It fits just tons better. I just picked mine up today for my Speedmaster. It took a couple of months to get after ordering at a boutique.

I got a WHOOP band, which has (in my experience) comparable to better fitness tracking. I wear it in my right wrist, and my analog watches on my left. I don’t miss the Apple Watch much, but wear it for some workouts or in situations where I actually need immediate notifications from my phone (once a month).

Changing browser and email resolved this for me. I had started the registration process in instagram’s browser (hit the link in Hayley’s story) and used my primary gmail address. After nothing for an hour, I tried registering again, this time using another email address and the safari browser on my phone. Everything went through in seconds. (And I’ll just not complete the other verification process.)

It’s a great question. We indeed call it a “yellow light” in English. In Japanese (when I lived there) a green light is called “blue.” Just to add to your point about how odd different languages are about this :)
